El Pretexto is our home and life’s undertaking. A space that combines wooden villas, an agroecology farming bed, an orchard, a forest, and a large wooden deck. Located in a very peaceful area in the mountains of Cayey with fantastic views all the way to the south coast and just one hour away from San Juan. El Pretexto is an adults-only (18+) venue, so if you are looking for a relaxed, countryside experience, El Pretexto is the place to stay. Farm-to-Table breakfasts are included each morning.

We are the first independent concept experience hostel in Puerto Rico located in Barranquitas. We've designed a space that makes you feel like you're on the moon. We have a furnished black dome over 20 feet, an Infinity pool with heater, a fire pit, a relaxation waterfall, Wi-Fi, TV, movie apps, board games, and more. The experiences are fully controlled with Alexa. Every person who arrives becomes a tourist astronaut on the island.
