Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Riebeek-Kasteel

This was our first trip to Cape Town but did have feedback from my daughter who is studying there. The Gardens neighborhood worked well because of its central location. Unfortunately the city is car dependent so plan on lots of Ubering - always a car within 2 minutes - even vans! The mall down the street was a blessing - pharmacy, 2 grocery stores and a bunch of other stuff. The home was so perfect for a group of 7 - probably the best was the large open living space that gave way to a work space at the dining room table, cooking space galore in the kitchen, comfy couches to watch the French Open from and then a napping window that is super cozy. There is a great outdoor table and rooftop deck but due to timing and some weather did not spend a lot of time there - but the invitation of both spaces quite charming. Would stay there without hesitation next trip if over 4 travelers!

Wonderful place with peaceful atmosphere and privacy. I appreciated the thoughtful additions like condiments, milk and drinks. The place even had cling wrap and baking paper for use. Great heating options, clean place with a very comfy bed. I highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, well equipped and tastefully decorated. High quality and well appointed kitchen. Gorgeous outside area for dining, and a little plunge pool for hot days. The town is walkable and full of great restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this house for a wonderful Franshhoek holiday.

Deirdré’s guest accommodation was perfect. Everything was clean, tastefully decorated and there was everything you would need (and more) for a super-comfortable stay. The house was spacious and had an indoor fireplace, with plenty of wood supplied, and an outdoor long table and braai. It also had a lovely garden and great views of the mountain, especially from upstairs. Deirdré was a lovely host. She was responsive, accommodating and kind. There were clear instructions for self-check-in and detailed notes on how everything in the house works. All in all, a wonderful space, and we would definitely book again. An easy 5 out of 5 stars!

I had an absolutely wonderful time during my stay! The location was perfect, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding wineries and mountain while being conveniently close to town. It was the ideal setting for exploring the local attractions and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The house itself was immaculate and incredibly well-maintained, reflecting a high standard of care and attention to detail. It was not only clean but also inviting, making it feel like a true home away from home. Communication with Ann was exceptional. She was quick to respond and went out of her way to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable throughout our visit. Her warm hospitality truly enhanced our experience, making it all the more enjoyable. Overall, it was a memorable getaway, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to unwind and soak in the beauty of the area!

Mieke’s cottage truly is a home from home. The home has all amenities, modern and very comfortable. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. There was a lovely welcome selection of drinks in the fridge, and a lovely bottle of wine. Lozanne is a wonderful host - she is attentive and kind. The children (and the adults) absolutely loved the animals. The splash pool was a lovely treat. We stayed for just over two weeks, and we were so sad to leave. We felt safe and secure at all times. When needed, Lozanne and her husband were on hand when we had a question. We hope to return to stay at the cottage when we visit in 2026. 5 stars in my opinion. Thank you for making our visit to South Africa such a special one.

amazing place that allows easy access to most tourist spots in Cape Town whether city, camps bay, muizenberg, Simonstown and boulders. place is beautiful and has such a nice feeling for two families to spread out. Debbie was super responsive, checking in and out was more than accommodating for our needs. Highly recommend to all. Fantastic stay

We loved staying at Adri and Deon's place and left feeling refreshed and rested. The cottage is private, clean, well-equipped and you can access beautiful mountain trails from your front door. Thanks to the location and silence we slept better than we did in years. Lovely as all the amenities and the location is, the best thing about the place are the hosts. Deon and Adri are incredibly gracious, providing freshly ground coffee, muesli, home-baked bread and altogether good vibes. It felt like visiting really cool family who leave you alone to rest and enjoy the peace and quiet. We will most definitely be back.

We had the most wonderful stay at Mont Rouge Cabin in Tulbagh! The cabin is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and so well equipped with everything you could need — they’ve really thought of all the little details to make your stay extra comfortable. The private hot tub was such a treat and made the experience even more special. The peaceful setting and stunning views made it the perfect escape. The host was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made us feel right at home. We can’t recommend this place highly enough and would love to come back again!

We had a wonderful stay here. The house itself was spacious (even more so than the photos), clean and beautifully presented. The beds were comfy and with lovely linen, there was a well equipped kitchen, we loved the outside fire pit area and we really enjoyed the views. The location was great, just a few minutes' walk from the beach and restaurants, but just far enough away to be quiet and private. We would definitely recommend this Air BnB and hope to stay again.

We had a wonderful short stay with Lance and Jessica. The place presents well and just as you see it in the photos. Would not hesitate in recommending it for its beautiful views and central location. It is walking distance to the promenade which proved very convenient for morning walks to one of the many breakfast spots on offer. They were also super communicative and helpful. Thank you Lance & Jess, we hope to see you again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were a bit surprised by the 10km stretch of public dirt road leading to the farm — we had expected only a few kilometers of gravel once on the property — but it was still perfectly manageable with a sedan. The thoughtful touches on arrival really made us feel welcome: a chilled G&T, the hot tub already heated, and a freshly baked loaf of bread waiting for us. The game drive the next day was a highlight. Uncle Steve shared many fascinating, history-rich spots with us, making the experience both educational and memorable. Next time (when not pregnant!), we’ll definitely take advantage of the kayaking — the lakes are absolutely beautiful — and we’d love to stay longer, as the game drive takes up most of the day. Highly recommended!

Daleen's cottage is an absolute gem! Loved it!

Such a stunning property, exactly as pictured. Ian was such a warm and welcoming host. The house had everything we needed for cooking and for a very comfortable stay. The wood burning stove kept the main area warm and cozy. Would highly recommend staying here, we hope to visit again.

What a hidden gem! Steenbok Farm Cottages in Wolseley is the perfect escape for a peaceful, relaxing weekend. The Pines is a wonderful venue for a breakaway with a group of friends or family. The old farm-style homestead is in impeccable condition, with the trappings you expect from a much more modern house. Everything was spotless, from the bedroom linens and towels, to the well equipped kitchen, and the outside area. The weather was fantastic, so most time was spent in and around the pool, on the tennis court, and in the cool quiet of the house. Do: 1. spend an early morning with fresh coffee on the stoep, waiting for the sun to start painting the glorious mountains right in front of you; 2. make communal meals and eat under the ancient trees in the afternoon and at the huge dining room table in the evenings, where our stories mingled with those that had come before us; 3. bring your - well behaved - furry friends, they will get as much from the large expanse of lawn and, since the property is fully fenced, the can explore as much as they want to; and 4. braai next to the pool. Enjoy!

The dome itself was beautifully appointed, blending modern comfort with whimsical elegance. Every little feature, from the lighting to the layout, felt purposeful and special. It’s clear the creators poured their hearts into making this place unforgettable. The location was close to town and surrounded by world-class restaurants, wine farms, delightful boutiques, and art galleries. Overall, our stay was truly fantastic, an experience to remember!

We spent a weekend at the cottage for my parents' birthdays and we all had a great time, including the dogs! Beautifully appointed, very clean and modern, we had everything we needed & more, including ice, tea, coffee, fire wood etc. The pool and loungers are fantastic for the summer heat. We loved the peace and beauty of the farm and surrounding mountains. We will definitely be back!

An incredibly well-appointed and luxurious house in a truly beautiful setting. So many special touches made this a great experience - from fresh flowers in each bedroom to lots of towels next to the rimflow pool, every possible comfort was provided. We had a wonderful weekend.
