Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Rice Lake

Our stay was more than we could have asked for. This Airbnb is a hidden gem. We’ve been to many Airbnbs all over the world, and I can tell you this one is really special. The garden is very spacious, with friendly little cows in the background. The inside is also spacious thanks to the beautiful high ceilings. The decor and original church aesthetic they kept makes you feel at home. The outdoor annex for extra guests is so cozy and cute!! it really comes in handy if you are more than two. This Airbnb truly has everything a household needs, from bug spray to doggy bags. We’re usually honest and critical about Airbnbs, and we don’t shy away from pointing out things that could be improved, but with this one, we truly have nothing bad to say. We would come back in a heartbeat!

This is the second time we've stayed at the Globe House in Prince Edward County. We found even more to love the house and Prince Edward County in general. Fred's always been so accommodating and quick to answer any questions we had, something we appreciate about a good host. Waking up to a wide array of birds at the feeder and falling asleep to the moon, stars and fireflies in (often) perfect view really makes this remote stay feel even more magical; like being in a fantasy land. The best part is that although it feels remote, it's only a 15 min drive to the biggest town in PEC. The place is always well kept, clean and spacious. We're already making plans to come back!

Jay was so responsive to us and all of our needs. His uniquely designed home was a perfect back drop for celebrating my weekend get an away! The beautiful outdoor space, the sprawling interior, and the extremely well stocked kitchen are all the things that made the trip extra special and easy. Thanks for a great stay!

The place was clean, cozy, and it was exactly like the photos. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook. The check-in and check-out and garbage disposal process was very clear and detailed, as the host provided an easy to follow instruction. We'll definitely come back!

Chelsea’s place was absolutely beautiful ! Upon walking in the house, the view of the water is breathtaking and did not get old each morning while sipping our coffees. The home itself was very homey, and a great wide open space for gathering with friends. Chelsea was super helpful when booking, made recommendations and was super responsive during our stay with any questions we had. I would highly recommend a stay here - can’t get much closer to being “on the lake”!

Highly recommend Prince’s place! It was exactly as described, was in a great location and was extremely well equipped. Prince was super communicative and checkin/out was quite simple. Great spot for a weekend away!

I was more than lucky to have found Natalie’s place, it’s in a great neighbourhood, place was exactly like the photos & as described, and the most amazing host I’ve ever encountered in this app. Natalie was always more than accommodating with my requests & responded on time. She is also such a great person herself, she will not let you down. A million thank yous Natalie 🥰

Very nice stay, if we are ever in Port Hope again we will be staying here! Close to downtown, and the place is private and well kept! Would recommend!

We had a great stay! The house was spotless and very well maintained. Having three full bathrooms was incredibly convenient for our group, and the hot tub was a perfect. Highly recommend this place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

We were looking for a nice place with indoor pool for our kids, this place was exactly what we were hoping for! The house is very nice, has a few stores nearby to buy anything you might forgot back home. We will definitely come back again!

We have stayed at Bertrand’s place a couple of times now and highly recommend this. It is a lovely home and very private. Bertrand is the perfect host…very helpful and responds quickly all the time.

We had the best time at this lovely place. Deborah and Ross are amazing hosts and incredibly kind people. Thank you for everything :) the place is also super clean and feels like home! If you are bothered by bugs, don’t miss out to visit the lovely little store ‘zebra with a different stripe’ to get some great all natural bug spray!

Kristin's stay was lovely. The unit was clean. The pool was clean and there were a few toys for my daughter to play with. Hot tub wasn't over powering chemical smell which was nice.

The house was spotless and the garden was absolutely lovely. Both we and our dog had a wonderful time during our stay. We always bring our own sheets to Airbnb stays, but we couldn’t help noticing how fresh and clean the ones here smelled — that was a really nice touch. Many of the things we brought with us were already available in the house, which made everything so convenient. Hot water was always available, which made our stay even more comfortable. The garden was peaceful, filled only with the sounds of birds and frogs — it was truly relaxing to just listen to nature. Getting away from Toronto for a few days was exactly what we needed. Before we arrived, Dylan had kindly left firewood out in the yard for us — that was such a thoughtful gesture and we really appreciated it. As a suggestion, the double bed could use some improvement — it wasn’t very comfortable. Also, the mosquitoes were really intense; despite using repellent, we were bitten all over. We got a last family get away before our girls go off to college. It was a beautiful spot to play games, enjoy a slower pace and get some quality family time together. We fished, read, played games and just enjoyed the tranquility and beauty of the area. Alex and Violetta were super responsive to the questions that I had. Beautiful home and lots of thoughtful amenities.

Robin’s cottage is by far one of my favorite places so far. They thought of everything. We spent a few days for a work retreat and had all we needed to make the week unforgettable. The views in the morning, the sunsets in the evening, fireplace right by the water, paddle boards, full kitchen… the list goes on. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. I am definitely going back!
