This is the perfect “base camp” to escape from the crowds after a busy day on the slopes or hiking trails. The magic of this location is the easy transition from ski cabin to summer hideaway. The huge fenced yard is under the forest canopy of towering pines and lush ferns, providing cool spots for napping in the hammock, reading in the Adirondack chairs, playing yard games and relaxing around a fire. Niksen House: Scandanvian style Cabin at Mt. Hood

*water pressure issue has been fixed! Niksen House is located just outside of Mt. Hood National Forest, 20 minutes from ski areas and an hour from Portland. The cabin is in a rural residential community and sits next to a 1/2 acre lot giving it an off-the-grid feel with all of the on-the-grid amenities.
