Open-Plan Lodge in Birr

SaraRating, 5 stars8 months ago
I absolutely loved this pet-friendly house. It’s warm in every sense, the style mixes antique with quirky, and you feel immediately at home. The walled garden is an experience in itself, ideal for reading a good book or simply enjoying the magical feel of it. My dog enjoyed it too. The piano is tuned and the sound is beautiful - it had been 20 years since my last time playing and I loved the opportunity. The location is central, literally 1 minute walk to Birr Castle and maybe 5 minutes to the town centre. Don’t miss Birr River Walk, especially if you have dogs. You will also find Memory Lane Courtyard Cafe opposite the entrance to the castle - again, perfect spot for dog parents. We walked as far as Woodfield Garden Centre (about 25 minutes) - well worth it. So, you can park your car and forget about it! Truly a great experience.

The Best of Birr

Francie is a very nice guy who shared everything in his home. Our bedroom /bath was private, a shared kitchen, tv room. He had food and drink available to help ourselves. A nice quiet country setting.

Village View House

A great place to stay in Kinnitty. We stayed for a month and can assert it is very quiet and well appointed. Kinnitty has a lot to offer outdoor enthusiasts and makes for a great central location from which to explore all of Ireland - and, this place is right in the village center. Highly recommend.

Sean’s cottage was great! He is a fabulous host and so helpful with ideas and places to visit. The rental felt like home and very neat and tidy. I hope to stay again in the future. The host was alway quick to respond with any questions we had. The whole atmosphere was cozy and quaint. Thanks again Sean for a great stay!

Cosy Relaxing Flat above Organic Grocer.

AutumnRating, 5 stars1 day ago
This was one of the most charming and wonderful stays we have ever had through AirBnB (and we've had a lot!). The town was so fun and great to walk around in. We wished we had more time to stay in the room as there were so many good books and it was just delightful to be in there! We definitely want to come back!! The food left for us for breakfast was incredible and Lynda even made us coffee in the morning in the shop downstairs. Meeting her and her partner was a definite highlight! Thanks so much for everything!!
