A mini-small studio that has everything you need to be happy in the smallest of spaces. If you want to spend your Ticino vacation independently and cheaply, this is the place. An ideal starting point to discover Ticino. Lake Maggiore at your feet, the valleys and the centers (Locarno, Bellinzona and Lugano) are also easily accessible by public transport. The markets in Italy are also easily accessible by car or public transport. In winter and during the cool season, I recommend the studio for one person only!

Our rustic house is a typical “casa colonica” situated in Corcapolo, nestled in Centovalli a valley in the district of Locarno in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. Corcapolo is a tiny hamlet with a small church and winding footpaths. Nearby are the famous village of Intragna as well as numerous other historic places to visit including Ponte Romano from the 16th century and the cool waters of river Melezza. Within an easy drive are Locarno, Ascona, Lago Maggiore, and even Piedmont, Italy.

Cable car closed until about 2026. Open fireplace in the old style, kitchen-living room and sleeping in the same room, balcony with great views and terrace which invites you to sunbathe. Shower/toilet in the basement, accessible via external stairs. Hot water with electric water heater.

The beams are from the 1800s, the bookcase was created using an old fireplace, the stone emerges to remember the past. On the ground floor of a central house overlooking the lake there is this little world with a kitchen, a wonderful bathroom and lots of art. You can have breakfast outdoors among the roses and the lake but even in winter the heat inside invites you to drink a herbal tea. The tourist tax fr. 2.-- per person per day is to be paid separately.

My apartment belongs to Ronco and has a magnificent view over Lake Maggiore. Distance to the village of Ronco: 10 minutes on foot. The "Cimitero" (cemetery) bus stop is 50 meters from the entrance. Ronco (353 m above sea level) has 700 inhabitants and 4 restaurants. Distance to Ascona: 15 minutes by car. The apartment was completed in 2016. It is small (28 square meters) but nice (all new high-quality equipment). This apartment is a non-smoking apartment.

Staying in Claudia's Rusitico was a pleasure. The communication with Claudia was very friendly, accommodating and flexible. The Rustico is located in a very sweet quaint village, is very tastefully and cozily furnished and the equipment especially in the kitchen is great if you like to cook and bake a lot yourself. If you come to several, it's good to know that there is no door to the bedroom (can also be seen in the photos). In winter, the cottage is in the mountain shade, which Claudia appreciably communicated very honestly. If you have a car, you can drive to the other side of the hill and take wonderful hikes in the beautiful mountains and also in the sunshine or make yourself comfortable in the Rustico in front of the fireplace. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back! Thank you dear Claudia :)

Judith and Hans were always available and always provided information quickly. Communication was therefore quick and uncomplicated. They also asked if everything was okay upon arrival. The apartment is very clean and has everything you will need. The view is a dream - you also accept the path there (steeper stairs);-) We will definitely be back! Thank you! A presto!

Our stay with Erich was simply wonderful and very relaxing. Erich is an all-round great host and has created an oasis here that is second to none. We felt comfortable from the beginning in his cozy, beautiful and lovingly furnished apartment. There was nothing missing; the kitchen is perfectly equipped and very spacious. From the apartment and the terraces, you have a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. On the two seats and in the garden, there are various, cosy seating areas for reading, eating and dreaming. The house is surrounded by flowers, herb and vegetable gardens, which Erich has lovingly laid out and maintains. In summary: a place to relax and enjoy in absolute peace. Thank you Erich for letting us be with you! Looking forward to seeing you again.
