Kangassaari - the kingdom of peace

The views from the cottage on the shore of the large lake Iijärvi open up in every direction. The plot is land-forest based and the beaches are suddenly deepening. A large beach patio and a large jetty bring comfort to the beach and what could be better than jumping from the jetty into the lake in the summer heat while enjoying a sauna. The main building has a living room, kitchenette, dining area, 2 bedrooms, a large loft, a toilet with a shower cabin and a closet. The kitchen has a gas stove and the toilet has an electric toilet seat with a bidet function.

Cottage by the lake

If you're looking for a little break from the hustle and bustle of the city to the peace of nature, this is just for you. Rent an inexpensive, modest, electrified, basic summer cottage (approx. 65 square meters) from Kangaslampi, Varkaus (the cottage is located on the south shore). Everything in the cottage is not exactly on top and in the best condition, but a basic clean cottage with everything you need. The cottage has a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, stove, gas grill. Basic dishes, television, radio, smoke detectors.

Old farmhouse and outdoor sauna

Here's your chance to get to an old country house cabin to spend the summer and heat up a separate wood-burning sauna. The house is surrounded by fields and forests. You have access to a kitchen with dishes for four, an electric refrigerator and a gas stove, bed linen (your own linen or rented for 10€/person). Electricity comes to the cottage with a solar panel. If you want, you can feed the cows in the traditional pasture. 7 km to the center of Rantasalmi, where you will find the nearest grocery stores. You can drive your own car to the cottage yard.

Log cabin on the shore of a quiet lake

This traditional log cabin offers a peaceful hideaway right on the lake shore. Hand-carved from thick logs, the cottage exudes peace. The cottage has a high living room, a reserved fireplace, a kitchen, a spacious wood-burning sauna with benches and a shower, a dressing room, a toilet, a sleeping loft and a bedroom, a covered porch and a separate sauna for post-sauna cooling. In summer, the special feature of the place is the ringing of the cowbell in the adjacent, fenced forest pasture when a small herd arrives at the beach to drink.

Lilla Hammar

A cozy traditionel Finnish log cabin next to a peaceful little lake. The cabin is placed beautiful calming area in the middle of forests. The cottage has sleeping accommodations for four (a sleeping loft and a sofa bed). There is a charming small kitchen, a fireplace inside and campfire place on outside, composting dry toilet and a sauna (no normal bathroom). The hot tube is available with extra charge (50e). Smoking and pet free area. Children are wellcome.  Warmly wellcome to our guest!

Stunning sauna cabin by the lake | Fishing | Remote work

Welcome to relax in the sauna room in our yard, by the lake! Although our small, modern and stylish sauna cabin is part of our residential property, here you will find peace, nature, privacy and beautiful scenery. There are excellent fishing opportunities on the water. What's more, the location is perfect for remote working! Lahti beach is shallow and great for children. Use a rowing boat and a paddleboard. Available for rent for fishing on a motor boat. Bring your own linens and towels.

Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

Villa Myllymäki

In the villa Myllymäki, built on top of Myllymäki with my own hands, it is easy to relax and get close to nature while enjoying the magnificent scenery. A window the size of the entire end wall frames the magnificent lake landscape. The farm has about 40 hectares of forest for animal grazing, which guarantees easy and fine hiking terrain. The distance to the center of Savonlinna is 10 km by car or 6 km by boat. The farm also has a private lean-to by the pond with equally stunning views.

Rantasalmella Pale Moka

Rentoudu tässä rauhallisessa majapaikassa. Mökki sijaitsee pienen sisäjärven rannalla, matala hiekkapohjainen ranta. Kohde koostuu mökistä n. 25 neliötä, aitasta ja "tynnyrisaunasta". Ulkohuussi. Kohteessa on sähköt ja kantovesi. Käytössä myös palju (itselämmitettävä). Petipaikat 5 hengelle, sopii parhaiten pariskunnille tai pienelle perheelle. Savonlinnan keskustaan matkaa n. 40 km, Rantasalmelle matkaa n. 19 km. Kohde on meidän rakas mökkimme, kohtelethan sitä sen mukaisesti.

Romantic shelter with a great view

A cozy cottage between pines and the lake just in 2 steps from Saimaa. It is quite small inside (30 square meters) with a big open terrace and a green lawn in front of it. There are a Loft bed for 2 people with a view, a small kitchen, fireplace, sauna on woods inside the cabin. It is great to start your day from early swimming and yoga/breakfast at the terrace listening to birds songs and finish your day with a glass of wine taking pictures of a stunning sunset.

Log cabin on the shore of Lake Saimaa

A hand-carved 100m2 log cabin on the shore of Lake Saimaa, completed in 1995. Peaceful milieu just a few minutes drive from the services of the center of Varkaus. It's a great place to relax for a weekend, or a longer stay. Basic amenities and cooking utensils. The cottage is connected to a very spacious wood-burning sauna. A hut in the yard and a grill canopy in free use. The cottage is suitable for a year-round stay, but it's a good idea to book woolen socks:)
