Suenos Mariposa

KathleenRating, 5 stars14 months ago
We enjoyed our stay very much. The landscaping and scenery were beautiful. Jeff and Nando were friendly and so helpful with great suggestions for activities and restaurants. We used the pool daily and sometimes at night. It was so refreshing after the heat of the day. The 3 building concept was unique and very liveable.

Private Honeymoon Villa Colibri

AinsleyRating, 5 stars6 months ago
My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights and we were very pleased with the place!!! It is up a mountain and away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to Uvita and everything you need! It feels like your own little piece of paradise surrounded by wild life and lots of beautiful plants. We saw a monkey in the tree upon arrival. The river is so close that you can hear it and it’s super peaceful!! Very beautiful water falls near by, the national park, and the beach!!! I will say I don’t know if we would’ve made it up the mountain and to the resort without a 4x4! Also, I must note that the upstairs and downstairs unit are separate. The bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. So, if you’re like me and have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night you do have to go outside and downstairs to use the bathroom!!! But it was really no problem. Incredible place for the price! Highly recommend 😌

Beautiful surroundings, delicious breakfasts, comfortable bed and good recommendations from the host (visit la Cusinga for a drink or food and enjoy the beautiful view and the walking trails around the property!). If you have a 4x4 and want a more quiet stay, I’d recommend this place!

Villa Mariposa - Peaceful and relaxing!

SarahRating, 5 stars15 months ago
We really enjoyed our stay here! It was private and remote, but we were prepared in advance to drive some. It’s about 10 minutes on a dirt road off the main road. The dirt road is totally fine for sedans until the last few minutes. Our 2 wheel drive suv did make it up to the house each time but it was in the dry season and we’re experienced with off road driving. We weren’t able to get the water in the shower to a comfortable temperature, but that wasn’t a deal breaker for us. We really enjoyed the hot tub amenity and overall enjoyed our stay.

tiny house, wifi , A/C, walkable to the beach.

CarlyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a wonderful stay at Casita Alessandro, the property is beautiful with lots of wildlife and birds! Giovanni was extremely helpful and welcoming. The place was nice and clean, with extra towels if needed! We really enjoyed spending our time outside on the balcony. It is a walkable area, with a few restaurants nearby and a quick walk to the beach (although it is a bit of a hike down). There was some construction in the area, and there is a second Casita being built on the property, but the noise didn't bother us as it wasn't excessive. We would definitely stay here again!

Cozy Tiny House

RyanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our stay here was wonderful!! This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we loved the bnb. Some things that stood out: The beach is super closeby, the natural hot tub is quite nice, the property is well maintained, the owners are very friendly, the little dog that lives in the neighborhood is so sweet, and we could see parrots flying around just by sitting on our front porch! If you are reading this and you haven't been to Costa Rica before, I have some travel tips: 1. Use Economy rental car, they have the best deal we could find! 2. Check out Manuel Antonio Park but do not fall for the parking scam or the tour guide scam, do research! 3. Check out Nausica Waterfalls, the most beautiful spot our whole trip! 4. Beware the exchange rates at the airport, they ripped us off about 1/3 of the money we "exchanged" with them. 5. The Elixir Bar has amazing vegan food and Kava Mocktails! 6. Bring a giant water bottle or buy one here, you will need it! Hope these tips help someone. 🙂🙂

Perfect central location big hill to get to it though, the cooking pans could do with being replaced as they were abit scratched and old, could do with more plates and knives also, was a very good host and helped out a lot when bbq ran out of gas it was replaced within an hour, not sure if its mentioned but the pool is shared I originally thought it wasn’t, other then that it was perfect and very safe with gates to get in and out

Place was very good for what we were looking for. The host was amazingly helpful and we leaned on her with a couple of things during the first week or two and she was very responsive. Would highly recommend this place for short term (2-4 weeks) stays.

Casa Sandy Feet

GraceRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The place was great and MJ and her husband were incredibly helpful. My husband and I did walk to, and back from Playa Hermosa. It is doable but took us about 30 minutes one way. Otherwise we used Uber to get around Jaco, and MJ's friend gave us a lift to and from San Jose. The pool was very nice to take a quick dip in during the heat of the day and the house itself was very clean and tidy. We would definitely stay here again.

Cabina #1 -Toucan

SusanneRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a great few days in bungalow 1. Everything was very clean, also very stylishly furnished. The terrace with the outdoor kitchen was a dream, the mattresses super comfortable. We were completely comfortable! Within walking distance there was a fruit and vegetable stand, where you could shop very cheaply, which was very convenient. Communication also went smoothly. After we said after the first night that the pillows were unfortunately much too thick for us, we were immediately brought thinner pillows, which was really very thoughtful.

Ocean View Casita! 1BDR in MA

Victoria LeonaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a good time at the tiny house. It is very well located, right off the main road. We didn't think it was too loud despite the missing windows. The access down to the house is quite steep and unpaved, which should be noted. There is a lot of nature on the property and there are also constantly wild animals that are easy to watch. The equipment of the kitchen was sufficient. We were also satisfied with the communication with the host everything great 👍🏻

Breeze river

SilviaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Rio Breeze, a real corner of paradise surrounded by nature. It is the perfect place for those who want to unplug and find authentic contact with the surrounding environment. The house is furnished with impeccable taste, with colors and materials that harmoniously recall nature, creating a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. All the comforts are present: the bed is very comfortable, the shower is spacious and functional, and every detail seems designed to make guests feel pampered. The terrace is perhaps our favorite corner: ideal for relaxing listening to the sound of the river and admiring the treetops, often animated by the passage of birds and butterflies. Even the walk that leads to the river is pleasant. Getting to the private beach is an incredible experience: being able to immerse yourself in the clear waters and enjoy a moment of total peace is something rare. Very friendly host. We will definitely be back.
