Boutique hotel holiday rentals in Puntarenas Province

Silvia's place was awesome. Right in the heart of San Jose, with lots of things to do and places to eat nearby. The complimentary breakfast was also phenomenal.

The place seemed lovely, very neat, just as indicated in the photos. The hostess welcomed us very well, the premises were clean and beautiful. The apartment had all the amenities we occupied. Highly recommended. From us very grateful to the host and we hope to return in the near future.

The place is awesome! It’s got a great vide, love the pool, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The room is super clean, and comfortable. The place has a great laid back vibe. Ryan is an awesome host! He’s a big surfer and has a bunch of surfboards to rent at a great rate. He also has a quad to rent too. He’s super responsive with anything I need. A lot of the people have come back year after year here. And I am definitely coming back next year! I couldn’t recommended enough.

Hotel Santo Tomás was lovely. A little boutique hotel oasis in the heart of San Jose and so close to all the things to do. Finding it was a bit tough but it was very dark and we were very jet lagged. In the daytime it would've been no problem at all. They have secure parking facilities, very friendly staff, wonderful breakfast and the attention to detail of the hotel itself was spectacular. So many places to sit and just relax in the beautiful weather. Thomas sat and chatted with us and other guests over breakfast and had all sorts of recommendations, tips, maps, places to go and things to do. He is an absolute gem and can guide you in all things Costa Rica.

A BEAUTIFUL oasis and amazing deal. We felt so welcomed by the staff working there, especially Amanda. The grounds were stunning with plans through, the pool was a treat! Breakfast was made fresh and delicious. We loved our private shower outside the room. The yoga studio was stunning and such a great class. Short walk to the beach and local restaurants. We'll be back!

This was a gorgeous spot! The view of the city was unreal. I liked how they had a pool and lots of cats that were friendly around the property. The typical CR breakfast was a slam dunk to start my day too.

Staying at Lipstick Palms was truly one of the most special and unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had. The home & amenities are unreal! A stunning retreat with sweeping views of the Pacific, a great breeze and every detail is high-end and thoughtful. Annie and Patrick are the kindest, most gracious hosts—you instantly feel like you’re visiting dear friends or family you adore. Upon request, they prepared a beautiful, elevated meal our first night (that peach cream cake was unreal!) and again on our last night. One evening, we went into town together, played pool at a fun dive bar, had chili guaro shots.m- so fun! They also took us to a wine bar on the ocean where we fed bananas to monkeys at sunset—it was pure magic. The location is perfect, the pool is gorgeous, and we felt so at home the entire time. Annie and Patrick were present but never intrusive—it was the perfect balance. Their care, warmth, and hospitality made this stay something we’ll never forget. Dreaming of coming back!

A super affordable price and an excellent place

We had a great time at Zulu! Right in the middle of town and just a few steps from the beach, which was great for going to restaurants, supermarkets, bars and the perfect beach day. Staff was super friendly, helped us with recommendations nearby and tours. Fully recommend staying here, El Mercadito right next to the hotel had the nicest vibe, lots of greenery, live music and drinks and food were perfect. There’s also the cutest and most delicious bakery next to Zulu, that’s a must try! Thank you Zulu team for making our stay in Tamarindo so fun 🙂

Lorena was super kind to us, the apartment was very clean, both bedrooms had air con working perfectly. Place was nice and welcoming.

If you want to visit Chirippo but also have a luxury stay then this is it. It is very comfortable and tastefully furnished. The casitas are right next to the river and they have created a number of forest and river trails on the property, which end up at a beautiful waterfall. Rosita the caretaker was very helpful and gave us a tasty Costa Rican breakfast and our hosts went out of their way to make our stay there memorable. Hopefully we will visit and stay longer next time.

Very nice space, surrounded by nature and calm

Absolutely a wonderful stay. David is terrific and offers advice on best places to eat and local spots. Super friendly caretakers at the house and extremely gorgeous views. The beach is absolutely breathtaking. Definitely want to stay here again.

Loved staying here! Good place to stay if you want to be close to multiple attractions. Loved the little town it’s in! Got to experience many things specially loved watching the town play their soccer games across the street in the rain. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was very nice and neat, only the sponge was needed to wash dishes, but there were a lot of supermarkets nearby, it was resolved soon
