Holiday rentals with beach access in Punakaiki

This is a huge suite filled with luxury. Everything felt like a 5 star hotel. The top floor has a huge bed room with separate closest space. The bathroom is huge with a large spa tub that is quite enjoyable. The top floor also has a beautiful ocean view and we watched the sunset which is beautiful. The ground floor has a huge living area and a very large kitchen and desperate dinning area. If you like to spoil yourself and family with a bit of luxury, this is the place for you.

We only stayed here for one night on our journey up the coast, but it was easy to find, very quiet and a spacious apartment. We walked to Pancake rock (which was interesting) then walked the Pororari river track, which was good and not crowded. The people in the information centre were very helpful. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to go on the beach but it looked nice.

Nice, unique place on the way to Franz Joseph Glacier or the other way to Arthur’s Pass/Christchurch. The staff is very friendly.

This apartment was the perfect spot for our stay in Hokitika. Beautifully renovated, furnished and presented.

Super suite right next to Paparoa. I loved being on the top floor, surrounded by palm trees, birdsong, and the sound of the ocean. It is possible to do an inspired hiking loop without driving by walking down to Paparoa track, cutting south in the inland track, and circling back to the cottage. This will take you past the caverns, pancake rocks, and some of the best hiking around. I felt the suite was very cozy and had a warm feeling.

Our stay of 3 nights was really good. The house was equipped with everything that a family needed for a peaceful and a happy stay. Every place in the house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen had all kind of cutlery’s and utensils to cook as you please. From living room to bedrooms to kitchen to restrooms to the washing area, everything was just what we needed. The host was kind enough to provide us with an extension by an hour for checkout. We would certainly come back to stay in this property for the second time. Gorgeous ‘period’ home right in the centre of cute, vibrant Hokatika. Tremendous attention to detail to bring back to life a beautiful property. It’s close proximity to the beach and restaurants make this home extra special. You will not be disappointed.

Homely, bach atmosphere. Easy walk to beach & playground. 1 hr + walk to Westport was well worth the effort. Enjoyed drive then walk to seal colony. Quiet location. Lovely welcome from Barb

The property was amazing. It was cozy and had everything we needed. The spa overlooking the sea was fabulous, as was the room outside where we could sit and chill and watch the sea, but be warm and cozy. We walked into town for dinner. Wandered along the beach. The interior design was really cool. My husband especially lived the robots on the ceiling. We also enjoyed Hokitika, cafes were great. We went to the National Kiwi Centre which was AMAZING! And also did the zipline at the West Coast Treetop Hikoi and Tower Zipline. Thanks we had a great time. Highly recommend staying here.

A lovely warm and tidy house. A few km from town and not far from the beach.

Iconic west coast views and walks. Perfect stop for our short stay and maximized time on the Tasman. Steve’s home is exactly as described and great for a large family. Great kitchen and living spaces Ultra clean linens and comfy beds. Walk to the water. See the kiwis and so much more. So grateful we had a special stop.

Beautiful home and great host! The house is lovely and spacious, was squeaky clean and has everything you could need for a great stay! There’s even a great takeaway just across the road! Janaya was a great host - very proactive in her communication. Would definitely stay here again! Highly recommended!

Possibly the best place to stay in Hokitika - beachfront, great views of the Alps, walking distance to cafès, shops and beach promenade. Great bed. Faultless.
