Amazing location with a beautiful view. Perfect stop off on the West Coast - or a destination in itself. You could spend hours on that deck watching the view and sunsets. Inside is well equipped and very tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable. Everything has been thought of even the excellent WiFi. Hot tub is great or you can have a bath with a view. Highly highly recommended.

This appartement/ Cottage is bigger than expected and we missed nothing. A very good place to explore the cape Foulwind and the seal colony (best time is high tide !). Don' t miss Pan cake rocks also best at high tide. For shopping/supermarket go to Westport.

We booked the Ugly Duckling late in our planning, to fill in a gap when our accommodation choices in other towns weren’t available, and to break up the journey between Christchurch and Nelson. Turned out to be a real highlight of our trip, and would love to visit again. As other reviews said - comfy, homey, well equipped, and spacious enough when the rain kept us inside. Kids were entertained by the toys, games, and garden.

We had a fabulous stay in this home, views ABSOLUTELY beachfront . The Bach was an easy stroll to Punakaiki and they have great coffee at the cafe. Sunsets are to die for and we saw dolphins swimming with the surfers. Recommend river walk for stunning rock formations and pristine bush. House was very clean with some nice complementary touches from these experienced hosts. Highly recommend

stunning place, had to keep pinching ourselves regarding the views from the balcony. Driveway was steap but easily manageable and the west coast was such an amazing place to visit! id recommend this home for anyone wanting to take the trip. Great location. Well kept and completely unique, we loved the balcony!!

Lovely two night, convenient for the town and east 20 minute walk to the town.

Amazing place to stay! Super clean, very spacious and incredibly quiet! Extremely well appointed with everything you could need. Although the listing notes that there is no laundry dryer, there are in fact 2 dryers. I would definitely love to stay here again the next time I visit Westport!

Location was perfect and loved having the beach at the bottom of the garden. House spacious, clean and comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back.

The yurt is a wonderful place. The beach is a 5 minute walk down, to the most beautiful shore. Bring bug spray. Everything inside the yurt, kitchen and bathroom was very clean. The deck and yurt outside view was amazing. Can see a lot of stars at night. We very much enjoyed our stay, and would stay again.
