The home was exactly as described and looked just like the photos—beautiful and welcoming. The only issue was an unpleasant odor coming from one of the bathrooms, which we discovered was due to the toilet brush. Once we identified the source, we placed the brush in the backyard, and the smell was no longer a problem. The home was clean, the instructions were clear, and the property itself was stunning—just steps away from the beach. I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway.

We had a magical week at Adolfo’s place with our family of 5 adults and 2 kids. The location is spectacular and the kids loved being able to play on the beach and jump in the pool. Early risers will love the sunrise view from the beach. The location itself is an amazing jumping off point to enjoy Akumal (great taco spots in town!), Tulum, and local cenotes and eco parks. We were a bit anxious about not having AC in the main living area but the breeze was beautiful and it allowed us to really embrace indoor/outdoor living. The caretaking staff are wonderful and very helpful - they helped us arrange for massages at the house and kept the property meticulously clean. We also took advantage of Chef Carlos’s services and are so happy we did. The house itself is very comfortable. Showing its age in places but we appreciated it being un-fussy - especially with young kids. The kitchen is well-appointed with dishes but you’ll need to bring your own basic cooking supplies.

Their communication was clear and timely, always making sure we had all the necessary information before our arrival. I was especially impressed by how they helped me bring my vision for my best friend’s bachelorette celebration to life. From connecting me with the concierge service, “Local Bird,” to offering tips on how to set up decorations and even suggesting the perfect areas in the home for our in home group massages, and welcoming our private chef, they made every detail seamless. Every host I had the pleasure of dealing with was polite, incredibly kind, and eager to make our stay as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. They were always just a message or call away, and their dedication truly made our stay special. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, it was a dream come true! 🙏🏽🥹💕

Cary’s home in Akumal was an incredible place to stay! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable vacation. The location was perfect, close to the beach and close to local attractions, yet quiet enough to feel like a true escape. Cary was an excellent host, always responsive and helpful with recommendations for activities and dining. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway in Akumal!

This house is an absolute dream. The modern architecture is a real masterpiece. All the furnishings and appliances new and stylish. There are three swimming pools in the property, one in the garden overlooking the ocean, and two on the roof terrace. The water in the pools is crystal clean, the hot tub is heated. The pool on the roof terrace has a glass bottom and a glass wall, it's incredible. The master suite even has an outdoor shower (in addition to the indoor shower) with an outdoor tub that is so big, it could count as another pool! We had the private chef (Roberto) every day for all three meals. The food is excellent - healthy and tasty. We gave him free reign what to cook and we were always pleasantly surprised. The beach in front of the house is breathtaking. This is not a busy area and most times we did not even see other people around us. The overall area seems super safe. Maria Jose is an amazing host - super responsive and accommodating. We are so unbelievably happy!

Great base in Playa. The apartments were lovely for us as two couples. Judith was very helpful with information. Would recommends to anyone - easy to walk into the main strip of playa and also close to the Ado bus terminal.

What can I say.......This was PARADISE!!!!! I have rented many houses through different websites, and this house was exactly what they said it was going to be. I stayed in this beautiful house 5/25/25 to 6/56/25. Everything was Perfect from the first day I entered this house, until the day I left. Armando, and his Wife Andrea made the entire trip perfect. They took care of any of our needs. I loved the little shopping, and restaurant area close to the house. If you are looking for a Beautiful, and Peaceful house to vacation in, this is the HOUSE!!! Also, the Entire Staff at Akumal Villas if fantastic. They answered all my questions before arriving to the house. I would like to Thank everyone for the Best Vacation I have ever had. Looking forward to returning to this House again soon.

The house is simply beautiful, it has all the amenities and tools to spend time with the family, spacious, clean and very well maintained. Ana's service was very good, always attentive and with good recommendations. The location is very good, nice area, the residential area is very quiet and above all safe. I loved the attention of the hosts, they saved me from not spending the night in the car with 7 young girls, the Airbnb I rented for my holidays made us have a bad time and we had to leave it, I contacted the hosts late at night and they were accessible and quick, they made it easy for us to live in the apartment in less than 10 minutes, 🤗 they were angels for us, the place is comfortable, safe and with super clear and precise directions, they are in contact and always available, I recommend them 100%

A peaceful jungle retreat with all the essentials We had a lovely stay at this beautiful jungle home, surrounded by nature and wildlife – we saw plenty of iguanas during the day and even spotted a couple of scorpions and a small snake at night (to be expected given the location, but worth noting!). The house is compact but well-equipped with everything you need. Facilities are excellent, and the space was more than adequate for a comfortable stay. Despite some previous reviews, we did have hot water – the shower handle is just reversed, so turn it to “cold” for hot! There were a few power outages during our stay, which is fairly common in the area. One outage lasted several hours, so keep that in mind when stocking up the fridge. Our host was fantastic – super responsive and helpful throughout. That said, an information booklet covering things like the shower, local amenities, and how to manage during power cuts would have been really helpful and saved a few messages. The bed shee

Gustavo's place was just what we needed. Don't expect 5-star service, rather authentic Mexican living in an amazing place with 5 different outdoor locations to chill. There are leaves (it's a jungle paradise), and be careful for occasional branch that may fall. It's beautiful, serene, peaceful. There were also some bugs in the back (but it's a jungle paradise and we were there in May); one of the many terraces has a bug curtain that helps manage that. It's shady in the back, full sun on the shared rooftop (we didn't see anyone else up there). It's not a tourist neighborhood FYI! I've been to Playa del Carmen 4 different times, and this place was the best! Also the best local food close-by. So relaxing, and so many birds that sing all day! We spent most of the time in the casa. Pool has to be skimmed (the yard's greenery is spectacular -> leaves), but Gustavo is very responsive and helped run the filter mid-week as well. Gustavo speaks Spanish, use Google Translate if you need it.

We had such a wonderful stay at Daniel’s place in Cozumel. The location was absolutely perfect for us—tucked away in a quiet neighborhood but just a short walk to plenty of great little local Mexican restaurants. The house itself was very clean and well cared for, with beautiful garden spaces that made it feel like a peaceful retreat. We especially loved the pool and patio area—it was the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. Daniel was a responsive and thoughtful host, always quick to answer any questions. He truly has a gem of a place, and we’re so grateful he shared it with us. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

An incredible stay on the island of Cozumel! We had a wonderful stay with a SUPER host that made us feel at home! Marco greeted us personally, which is very nice and unusual these days on Airbnb. He gave us information and map orientation. I was so impressed to have the offer to make reservations for our car rental and scuba dives with some discount, too. His knowledge of the island and its history was impressive. Unique, with wonderful paintings and beautiful sculptures are in the home and garden. Cotton sheets, and beds are so comfy! A separate cottage for 2 is included The kitchen is well-equipped! There was a fruit bowl plus cold beers in the frig. What more could we wish for? Loved the warm clean pool! Each bedroom had its own balcony! Enjoyed the variety of CDs with player too. We will certainly be back and give this home a visit for weeks. Walking distance to all the good restaurants and groceries but a taxi costs just $2.50 USD in town. BIG Gracias Marco!!!!

This condo was the perfect stay for us! Beautiful, clean, and steps from the beach. We will be back!

Manuel and Mayezka were very responsive. The bed is comfortable and the shower quite nice for Mexico standards. Powerful AC keeps the bedroom quite cold and the rest of the house a moderate temperature. It is a 15 minute walk from the beach. I felt very safe, even as a single woman. Enjoyed the private courtyard a lot. Only downsides, the kitchen is not very well stocked and I ended up taking a taxi into town almost every day via the InDrive app. Oh! Do yourself a favor and visit Kaawa Coffee Roaster/ Shop just a few blocks away! Full ham & cheese croissant sandwich with lettuce and tomato for $3 USD. Also, many people say there are so many expats in Playa that one does not need to speak Spanish, which is not true in this part of town (Nicte-ha). I'm in another AirBnB now that is walkable to 5th Ave for the same price, but the quality is severely lacking in comparison. So, if you are looking for a high quality place and don't mind taking a Taxi, this is a great choice!

Our extended family of ten stayed very comfortably in this lovely house. We enjoyed the space, the comfortable furniture, great snorkeling, and a lovely meal made by Jerry and Isabella. The house was as pictured, we found it peaceful, safe, and private. We loved sitting on the beach, and found the kitchen well supplied.

What can I say! Our time at Crystal's property was absolutely amazing. Even though the jungle experience was new to us, we were relieved to feel immediately at home at Casa y Palapa de la Selva. The fact that such beautiful cenotes were only a quick walk away was truly unbelievable & our favorite part of the trip. We were excited to see monkeys, butterflies, capybaras & more. The house and palapa comfortably suited 6 people. We loved the fact that the walls are screened in, which allowed for a fresh air breeze to keep us cool throughout the night. Keep in mind that the two bedrooms shown for the house are all technically one large loft room, with 2 beds separated by the staircase. We are so grateful to Casey, who always made herself available and was immediately responsive for all of our needs. In general, every person we met was lovely and made us feel so safe & welcome. We are in awe of the incredible community at Sacbe and hope to return one day soon. Gracias por todo!

What a wonderful celebration we enjoyed with family and friends in separate shifts. I walked right out to the beach in the morning and swam in the warm ocean when it wasn’t too windy or void of the sorghum. Sometimes we’d swim at the public beach which was a little walk further north. I especially loved the master bedroom, falling asleep every night to the sound of the ocean right outside our back door and upper balcony. The people were helpful and friendly; beds were comfortable. We didn’t rent a car but took Collectivo bus and taxis. It’s definitely one of the best Air BBBs I’ve ever stayed at. It was clean and comfortable and I highly recommend it. We had 8 people the first week and 5 of us the second week. The store in Akumal is very expensive but the bus to Playa del Carmen was an affordable choice at the local Walmart. 🥺 I would recommend bringing a stash of alcohol. Perhaps supplying the kitchen a little more is our only critique. Loved lying outside on the beach loungers.

Great stay in this Magnificent villa. Gerardo is very attentive and very responsive. We will not hesitate to take back this accommodation for a future vacation

We enjoyed our stay here. It was walkable to both Benito Juarez Park and the dive shop we were using. The house had everything we expected and we only needed to grab a few food items at the store for our stay. The washing machine really helped our stay on the island - especially with all of our water activities! Definitely recommend!
