Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Prines

This place is fantastic. Two outdoor seating areas both with breathtaking views facing west so you can watch the sunset. We were there in December during Christmas and they had a nice wood burning stove to help warm the house in addition to an electric heater. There is nothing like the ambiance of a wood burning stove . They provided all of the firewood. They also had a fully stocked kitchen . It was an easy walk to town with all the restaurants. Almost all of which were closed when we went. The beaches are a walkable distance. One of the highlights was the Aradena gorge, a 30 minute drive. The trailhead is in a beautiful ancient town. The hike is technically challenging due to loose rocks. Honestly, one of my favorite things was the area. Off season, it is incredibly quiet and peaceful. I loved seeing all the goats and sheep on the hillsides. One thing to note is the bedroom is on the third floor and the bathroom is on the first floor. This was not an issue for us.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Die Lage ist ruhig und bietet einen tollen Blick aufs Meer – perfekt, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Vermieter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben den Aufenthalt angenehm gestaltet. Alles in allem ein schönes Haus für einen entspannten Urlaub am Strand.

Absolutely magical! Roula’s stone house is an incredibly picturesque and charming place to stay. The terrace is a dream – shaded naturally by a tree and offering a stunning view of the sunset. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished, with everything you might need. A little heads-up for tall people: the doorway to the terrace is a bit low – you might want to duck (don’t worry, we laughed every time!). There are some fantastic tavernas just around the corner, and it’s the perfect starting point for scenic hikes through the area. We loved every minute of our stay and would come back in a heartbeat!

Very nice modern house (less than five years old?) overlooking the sea. Everything in very good working order, including powerful air conditioning in the bedrooms. Frequent cleaning of the pool area was a benefit, particularly when a storm had come in the night before. Very convenient to Rethymno as well as to several bakeries and restaurants towards the centre of the island.

Our family of eight stayed at Villa Athena for 10 days in late May and it was wonderful. From the beginning to the end communication with Aggeliki, and with Jerry, was excellent. Checkin couldn’t be easier as Jerry meet us and walked us through the Villa. The Villa was very comfortable for our group of 8. The bedrooms were well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped which was perfect as we made a number of large dinners for the group with no problem. The outdoor space was spectacular, with lots of lounge, a very functional kitchen/bbq area, and an unbelievable view. While on Crete there was a very muddy rain one afternoon which made a real mess of everything outdoors. Jerry was over the next day power washed everything and cleaned the pool. Backed to normal within 24 hours. Thanks Jerry. Villa flow is a beautiful property that can easily handle a larger group, and which I would highly recommend choosing for your stay on Crete.

Amazing location. In the middle of the island. It is close to the village of rethymno, and the beaches nearby are beautiful. The hosts are absolutely over the top. They gave us eggs collected from the farm to have breakfast and a freshly baked cake another day. Our stay was simply perfect.

Homeleader war sehr zuverlässig aber vor allem die Gastgeber vor Ort waren fabelhafte Gastgeber die sich immer für unser Wohl interessiert haben und jederzeit schnell reagiert haben falls es nötig war. Wir hatten ein wenig Pech da wir roten Sand Regen hatten als wir gelandet sind, aber das hat unsere Gastgeber nicht davon abgehalten sich rührend um uns zu kümmern. Ich bin sehr dankbar für alles und hoffe diese Unterkunft mit diesen Gastgebern in der Zukunft noch öfter zu begegnen.

Nous avons absolument adorées notre séjour au Penthouse. Nous sommes un groupe de 3 couples avec deux bébés. La disposition du logement était parfaite. Nous avions chacun une chambre avec salle de bain et balcon ce qui nous permettait de tous avoir un peu d’intimité. Le logement est très bien insonorisé également. L’hôte avait laissé avant notre arrivé deux lits de bébés avec plusieurs couvertes chaudes et propres à l’intérieur, ainsi que deux chaises hautes bien équipées. Il y avait même quelques jouets pour bébé. Que dire de la propreté des lieux. C’était tout simplement parfait. Après quelques jours, nous avons même eu droit à un ménage complet et en profondeur des lieux. Finalement, le localisation est plus que parfaite. Vous êtes situés au abord de la vieille ville. Vous sortez du Penthouse et à quelques pas seulement vous y trouverez d’excellent restaurants, cafés et boutiques. Le port en soit est à seulement quelques minutes de marches. WoW je recommande vivement!

Het was een perfecte plek! George en familie waren erg gastvrij! Onze dochter mocht zelfs even boven spelen met zijn kinderen! Appartement was mooi, ruim en erg schoon! Met grote balkons (met een fantastisch uitzicht) en een ruime tuin die perfect was voor onze 4 jarige dochter. Van de tuin kregen we sla, eieren, schapenmelk en olijfolie. In de buurt snel bij het strand, lekkere restaurantjes en wandelroutes. Voor herhaling vatbaar! Wij hebben genoten :).

We had a short but wonderful stay at Dimitris and Danae’s villa, we were so surprised at how large and open the space is, it’s really a beautiful stay in the heart of the village on the mountains. We visited the Bistro owned by Dimitris next door, which do great coffees, smoothies and food- no wonder it seems so popular. Everything about this stay was perfect from the warm welcome we received to the privacy when relaxing by the pool, we would love to stay again in the future ☺️

Words can’t describe how incredible this home is. Every corner you looked there was a masterpiece to be found. Beautifully decorated is an understatement, this Airbnb was curated over years and years of living. It was nested in the heart of the town. I will 100% be coming back. Hidden gem! Loved this home, literally two minute walk to Golden Beach. Katerina is so sweet (she met us in-person, had local restaurant recommendations, and even provided a bottle of wine). The home was perfect for our group of 6 (great value for the money, too). Would 100% come again!

We loved our stay at the Alice Villa. Location is truly fantastic for shopping and loads of restaurants. We spent quite a bit of time at the villa when the weather wasn’t the greatest and we couldn’t have been happier. Thank you Marianna for the wonderful hospitality and the gifts. Have to mention the people we met in the restaurants and on the streets, soooo friendly. We were very sad to leave. Could’ve stayed a lot Longer. Book it, youll love it. Until next time.

Great location, very short walk to the port, beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. The host was extremely responsive and always willing to help make our stay comfortable! Apartment was very clean and the jacuzzi is a great feature. Multiple cafe’s/bars just downstairs with great food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend staying at this property if you want to be close to the venetian port and all Chania has to offer.

Maryellen communicated really well before and during the stay. The house is a fantastic location but you need a car or taxi to get to local restaurants and into Chania. Maryellen even booked the taxi for us to Chania. The house is fully equipped with everything. The views are amazing over looking the sea. The outside space is great with magical pool. It’s on a hill so probably not suitable for people who find it difficult with stairs and because the pool is an infinity pool you would need to be careful of children in the pool. The house is private and in a quiet location. We will be going back, one of the best Airbnb we have been to.

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

Très bon séjour que nous recommandons pour 4 personnes dans un petit village typique crétois magnifique maison où il ne manque rien une maison qui a un vécu. Super jardin avec une cuisine d’été une deuxième douche ,un vrais barbecue en dur. La. piscine est un plaisir bien orienté très bien entretenu avec une eau non agressive. Un mobilier extérieur répondant à tout les besoin pour l’ombre ou le soleil Literie très confortable chambres spacieuses et rangements plus que suffisant. Place de parking devant la maison. Que du positif pour un séjour paisible sans soucis

Das Haus besticht durch seine großen Fenster, die einen wunderschönen Blick auf das Meer ermöglichen.vor allen Fenstern verschiebbare Fliegengitter, sodass auch bei 40 Grad Außentemperatur ein gutes Raumklima herrschte.Ein Highlight war der Sternenhimmel, den wir auf der Matratze auf der Terrasse( unter sicherem Moskitonetz) genießen konnten.Federico hat uns jeden morgen mit frischen Eiern, Ziegenjoghurt sowie Honig und Olivenöl bestens versorgt. Der Umgang war ausgesprochen freundlich und seine Tipps waren ausgezeichnet. Insbesondere die Taverne Agios Georgios , ein bisschen individuell, flower power und mit hervorragender Küche werden wir vermissen.

We stayed for 10 days at Alexandra’s villa and wished we could’ve stayed for more. It was a quiet and stunning location. The villa was really clean and had all the amenities we needed. Alexandra greeted us and had fantastic homemade and local food waiting for us which was well needed after our travels which was very thoughtful of her. Throughout our stay she was extremely helpful with any of our queries and gave us great recommendations for places to visit, eat and shop. We couldn’t recommend her enough. This is a gorgeous villa to rent for couples and smaller families looking to steal clear of busier stays on the island. The only thing we would suggest for people thinking of renting the villa is to not rent a very large car / truck / van as the roads are quite tight in places. Anything larger than what we rented (BMW X1) would struggle in the town but that has absolutely no negative reflection on our host nor Airbnb. All in all an exceptional host and a perfect villa. We LOVED this place!! The villa, the location, and the hosts Eleni and Georgios are all fantastic. The house is stunningly designed inside and out, for both functionality and luxury. The kitchen is supremely well-equipped, beds comfortable, bathrooms and living spaces airy and stylish. We appreciated the multiple terraces, beautiful swimming pool and sauna with a view! The location is perfect without a car: easily walkable to bars, restaurants and supermarkets in Plakias, but situated at the best, quietest, wildest end of the bay, with sandy beach, clear water, a couple of cool beach bars for sundowners and a beautiful walk on the headland. If you do have a car, there are amazing beaches nearby (Skinaria is gorgeous), and walking (and cold swimming) in the Kourtaliotiko Gorge. Eleni and Georgios are amazing hosts: communicative, friendly, thoughtful, offering local recommendations and dealing with any questions or issues efficiently - thank you! 🤩

We had the most dreamy of times at the villa! Maria gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home right away. We loved her hospitality and proactive hosting, giving us tips and recommendations of places to visit in the area. The place provided everything one could wish for, from pristine looking rooms to hammam showers, a fine gas bbq and shaded terrace, glorious swimming pool, comfy sofa and a kitchen chefs would enjoy. The surroundings are to die for. Sinuous roads and endless sea views, unique beaches, but also mountain hikes, gorges and wine tastings not far at all (car is a must). Closest taverna has delicious food. Agia Galini is a short drive away and offers all essentials should you need to shop, eat out, find an atm or go on a fishing boat trip. Thanks again for a fantastic stay! We will be back sooner than later!

Na een lange dag met een vertraagde vlucht kwamen wij aan bij het huis en was eigenlijk de stress van de dag weg , een schitterend huis met een heerlijk zwembad Een oprijlaan achter een elektrisch bediend hek en dan een enorm huis , we voelden ons als een koning zo rijk We kregen een warm ontvangst en goede tips waar te eten , en ook regelde Stella (onze Host) een dagtocht naar Santorini waar we een heerlijke dag hebben doorgebracht Maar het mooiste en fijnste was toch wel het zwembad en de privacy die de villa ons bood Van het zwembad hebben we genoten Van het huis hebben we genoten Maar vooral hebben we genoten van de gastvrijheid van Stella en haar vader Manoli ,en iedereen die op de achtergrond meewerkt om deze schitterende plek zo bijzonder maken Een aanrader ook voor grotere gezinnen of vrienden groepen Wij komen zeker terug !
