Nestled in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, this recent addition to an (ex) 1800s pub is a cosy yet spacious self catering space. Opposite an old church with views across the valley it offers an an ideal getaway with walks in every direction and outdoor activities (canoeing, climbing, horse riding) further afield. Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

We can only receive guests who are happy to be fully catered during the summer holidays (22nd July - 1st of September). The cost will be an additional £10per meal per person. We don't want to add this to this price as we don't want to overcharge you (e.g you take a 9-bed dorm but there are only 5 of you). We can send this cost through separately. There is an option to join in a timetable of activities at an additional costs too but, again we don't want to charge if you don't want this.

Dry Dock Cottage

Relaxing is easy in Dry Dock Cottage: there’s a cinema snug, roll-top bath and king-size bed. The high-tech gadgetry means that, at the touch of a screen, you can control the heating, close the blinds, dim the lights and play your favourite music. With spectacular views from all four levels, this open-plan former dry dock sits at the very water’s edge. Open the bi-fold glass doors from the lounge area, to get even closer to the ducks and the boats that pass by. Pets are welcome, too.

Ty Wilber is a stone outhouse with cosy living room, with sofa bed, electric woodburner and kitchen. Double bed in loft room and compact shower room. Beautiful views of the valley and hills from a private terrace accessed from the bedroom. Use of secure private garden. Private parking, an EV charger and use of kayaks for the Brecon canal. The walk to Crickhowell is 20 minutes. Perfect base to explore local area or for walking holiday in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.

Captain’s Lookout is a cosy, self-contained studio on the first floor of an old granary, set within the courtyard of our 1750’s farmhouse. Ideal for romantic getaways or a break in the National Park……Set on the edge of the canal, it looks over a traditional canal boat marina. Easy for walks, bike rides and paddling adventures. Village pub near by which can also be walked to along the magical mon and brec canal. WiFi and TV. Not suitable for dogs, babies or young children.
