Waterfront holiday rentals in Porto

Pedro met us from our taxi and took us to the apartment. He gave us so many helpful recommendations. It really was above and beyond what I expected, with a lovely welcome gift of green wine and amazing pasteis de nata. The apartment itself was lovely and everything we needed and perfect for our three year old. Some stairs in but perfectly manageable. It was clean, comfortable and in a brilliant location next to the river. We would highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay in the appartment. The location was perfect with the best view of Porto. The bridge to cross to get to Porto is just a short walk from the apartment, down the street. Also, there are many great restaurants just down the stairs in front of the apartment and the whole area along the river in Vila Nova de Gaia was lively. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. José was really helpful on arrival and gave us very good recommendations. My family and I really enjoyed Porto so we intend on coming back and we will for sure look to stay in this apartment again.

This was a GREAT find and a 30 minute max walk to everywhere in Gaia and Porto! The apartment is on the top floor with SPECTACULAR views! Enough space in the bedrooms for our medium-sized luggage and in the modern, clean kitchen to cook and move around, plenty of table seating. The bathrooms were a little tight for multiple people, but hot water was strong and plentiful! Seating in the family room is limited, but we four adults fit quite comfortably in the condo. Paulo met us at the door and helped with bags, had great instructions and answered questions. After he left, we had trouble getting the air conditioning going, and he came right back and fixed it. He also arranged airport transportation! One thing--Gaia is VERY lively! The street noise was quite loud in 2 bedrooms every night until late. May not bother some, but I had windows closed, a LOUD white noise app running AND earplugs in to help with sleep. Overall, tho, a wonderful experience! Would highly recommend!

Great and spacious apartment, walking distance to the center, large and with adequate parking.

Carla was super kind and responded with any requests or questions, which were greatly appreciated, even bringing extra hangers and an altered check in time due to an early flight. The accomodation was lovely with a coffee machine 🙏 and comfy bed, also a spacious bathroom which are all welcome when you are travelling. The shop at the bottom is also very handy as is the AMAZING, WONDERFUL cafe on the corner Casa Mirarcos. ❤️

While I was in Porto, it felt like I was staying in my own room. Everything was comfortable, clean, and beautiful. Morugong Park, Sangbento Station, Porto Cathedral, etc. All the main attractions are within a 10-minute walk. This is a very accessible accommodation. The host always responded quickly, On the day of check-in, due to my flight schedule I had to check in a little early, They took care of all the conveniences. I was also recommended great restaurants, bars, and cafes nearby. Beyond highly recommend this accommodation.

Among all the Airbnbs I have stayed at, this was by far the best. The hosts, Cris and her husband, were the most thoughtful and considerate people I have ever met through airbnb. They prepared everything for us with such care and kindness. Staying in a traditional Porto house was a special experience, and we ended up visiting almost every restaurant Cris recommended—they were all amazing and truly unforgettable. I’m so sad to be leaving… Thanks to them we had a wonderful trip

Clara was an excellent hostess who greeted us with fig cake and port wine. She offered bottles of wine (nominal charge because good wine is inexpensive in Porto, Portugal) available for purchase. She offered a tour of the accommodations, providing instructions where necessary, but kept it to a minimum. We booked an airbnb experience Douro Valley tour through Clara .... it was wonderful and highly recommended. Keep-in-mind, of the three airbnb's we stayed-in through-out Portugal only one had dryer. Washing machine at Clara's was downstairs, outside but in a shed area, and she had a line drying feature. The ensuite is a bit tight, but nothing that can not be lived with with for a brief stay and all the decor is charming.

The location is really fantastic, although you can't go to sleep before midnight on weekends when the weather is nice. The hustle and bustle on the promenade sometimes goes on until the early hours of the morning.

Our family (4&3 yo) had a lovely stay. The space is large for the kids to play. It is a space which allows play time and games with no TV, something of a blessing. The bedrooms are close by to each other but provide privacy so not to disturb each other. The hosts are wonderful, we arrived late but José still took the time to greet us and provide essentials to save us having to go shopping. Our kids really enjoyed their time with José and his home.

Maria greeted us and had cheese and cold beverages and a few other amenities in the fridge , we were able to get some great information she was very friendly and helpful . The views were fantastic exactly like the photo’s . Went to the Espinho market on Monday it was huge great deals and something for everyone was easy to get there . Plenty of walkways all along the ocean you can walk for miles . The train station is very close that you can take to Porto just FYI if you do take the train to Sao Bento Porto which is the downtown you have to change to Train 2 at the main station. This area is easy to get around and parking was close and free. Would love to come back to this area to explore some more .

Super nice accommodation right in the dunes. You can see the sea and are just a few steps away from the beach. You can walk along the coast on the wooden walkways, which are directly behind the house. Great restaurants and beach bars are within walking distance. A bakery and a supermarket can also be reached on foot. The connection to Porto is great. Only 15 minutes by Uber and there is also a connection with public transport. The place was super clean and there was everything you need. Even a beach umbrella was available. The host was very nice and always available. He even brought us a baby chair and a baby bath for our little daughter. I would come back anytime!

A beautiful apartment with absolutely everything you could need for a family holiday! Natacha’s place is spotlessly clean, lots of space and so many little extras it really felt like a home from home. The views of the sea and the sunset from the balcony were amazing! The pool was huge and clean and the surrounding area peaceful but close enough to Porto and Gaia by bike or a quick Uber ride. There is a boardwalk and cycle path just across the road that goes all the way down the beach to Porto. There is a supermarket nearby and some lovely beach bars and restaurants along the front. Natacha was a perfect host - friendly and very responsive and helpful with lots of ideas and suggestions for our stay. Our teenage girls loved the surf lessons that Natacha suggested and we had lots to do and lots of sights to see. Thank you Natacha for the perfect stay. We recommend 100% and would definitely stay again!

My family and I loved our stay. The condo was beautiful, clean, private and close to great restaurants, cafes, squares and bars. We easily walked navigated the neighborhood and walked all over the city. I highly recommend and would stay here again.

Pro's: - The view is phenomenal!! - The location is convenient and central (bus and metro stops nearby) - Large bedroom (also a beautiful view!) -Genug Platz - in the kitchen, everything you need is there (a second pot would be nice) -All was clean -There is an elevator (apartment is on the 7th floor) Cons: - The ventilation in the bathroom turns on automatically in the afternoon and only turns off again the next morning. It is very loud and looks dirty, and it also gives off an unpleasant smell when it is running. You should always have the bathroom door open for ventilation. No dishwasher - Large and noisy construction site around the corner Overall, I had a great stay and felt comfortable!

Great apartment and interior design with perfect location.

The accommodation is great, great view of the sea, just across the streets and you are already on the beach. Here you will also find great restaurants that you should definitely try. The host is very helpful and gave us the necessary information. The apartment is very spacious and superbly equipped. You can also easily get to the old town. We liked both the location and the apartment very much.

This apartment is spectacular!! It has the feel of a luxury San Francisco penthouse apartment. We could listen to the waves at night. Multiple restaurants are within a 2 block area! While It's not technically IN Porto, it's a very inexpensive Uber ride away...and we saw a lot of the city that way without having to walk! The platform bed setup as one solid bed was a bit challenging for an older couple, but overall, the apartment made it worth the challenge! We'd definitely stay there again!

The apartment is excellent and very well located, with restaurants and bakeries just around the corner. There's a supermarket and public transport right across the street, and you can easily walk to Gaia and Jardim do Morro. Marcos was very friendly and responsive, making communication smooth and easy. Highly recommend!
