RUSTIC-no running water! cabin perfect for exploring all mid-coast Maine has to offer: 3 hours from Boston or Acadia, 1 hour to Portland and Maine’s gorgeous beaches. 10-30 minute drive to Hiking, swim spots, farm-stands, nationally recognized dairy farms, breweries, restaurants. 5 minute walk from a pickleball court. Stargaze in the hammock by campfire, Grill dinner, check out local tide charts to float in canoe or kayak on the Eastern river. Wood fired oven can be rented for additional fee.

Close by to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter and hiking, mountain biking, boating and swimming in the summer there are endless options of outdoor enjoyment. Enjoy stunning sunsets over the mountains from the comfort of the couch, or while enjoying a game of pool in the game room!

This is our family camp, with our own books, games, and “vibe”. It is not a hotel, and some things may not be “industry standard”. Bailiwick Cottage is a cozy, private cottage that looks south down Freeport (Harraseeket) Harbor in Freeport, ME. It is a 4 season accommodation that is close to Freeport shopping, Portland eating, and the Adventure Schools of LL Bean. The cottage sits approximately 50 yards from our main house, has its own parking space and patio, and offers the ability to come and go as you wish. We have had 12 honeymoons in the cottage. In the winter months, ride your snowmobile right from the driveway, take a brewery tour in Portland, head to the White Mountains, or just watch the river go by. Cornish, Maine is just 12 minutes away and has plenty of dining and shopping opportunities.
