Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Porter County

Second time staying. Wonderful place to stay and great host. Highly recommend.

This home was very spacious for our family and extremely clean! We enjoyed walking to downtown Valpo's historic square and its cute little shops.

My family and I had a lovely summer Indiana Dunes weekend at Jill’s place. The house was clean, cozy, and well-stocked. We loved the bikes and covered back porch. It was nice to be right on the Calumet trail, in biking distance to beaches. We took a 25 minute drive to Garwood’s and came home with a boatload of strawberries, and took a beautiful sunset dip in Lake Michigan. Thanks for the fun weekend!

The house was wonderful, incredibly clean, and offered a lot of small amenities.

We had a great time! Everything was fantastic! We had a couple bonfires that were so peacful and the firepit was pretty cool. The host was so quick to respond back for anything. The whole place was clean and had good strong coffee. ;)

The place is absolutely beautiful and peaceful! We loved staying here and will definitely use in the future

Michael has a great place that is very close to the Indiana Dunes. His directions for how to find the house were easy to follow. It was perfect place to be with my small dog and husband for a weekend away. It had everything you might need for meals in, spaces were well cleaned and well taken care of. We appreciated the small touches that were available to us. The train noise that was mentioned in previous reviews is not noticeable unless you’re outside. I don’t think we heard it at all indoors.

Wow! What an amazing place to stay. The house is lovely and the setting is beautiful. You're literally surrounded by nature and all it's glory. The home is loaded with so many things to do, but we spent most of our time just looking out the big windows at all the animals that came to visit. Our hosts were most gracious. They are very responsive and do their best to take care of your needs as soon as possible. I highly recommend anyone looking for a place to stay near the Indiana Dunes to choose this location. You won't regret it. Thank you very much Elena and Ben for all your hospitality.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay in Valparaiso downtown area on a quiet spot beautiful architecture , great food and Mari-Beth was a wonderful hostess!!!

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Mari-Beth's and had fun exploring Valparaiso. She is a gracious host and provided lots of thoughtful amenities like extra linens, brita pitchers, and white noise machines by the bedside. We booked both units and it was spacious enough for ten of us. Check in was quick and easy and the unit was clean and comfortable. Location was great, a few blocks from all the cute shops and restaurants, along with easy street parking. I would highly recommend Mari-Beth as a host and we would stay here again.

Really amazing little cottage right on the lake. Water was amazing, beautiful beach that wasn’t crowded, just really really nice. Cell coverage was weak when we were there but that’s the case for the entire Dune area. Cant wait to come back, one of the best vacations ever

Mari- Beth and her group are amazing hosts ! They are always responsive to any questions or issues and have lots of suggestions for the fabulous restaurants and shops in Valpo ! Her units are clean , newer kitchens and updated furniture. This unit was a basement apartment that had every space perfectly styled ! New modern furniture … nice bedding … even a small office space ! This worked perfectly for my stay!

Place looks like the pictures. Located in a nice neighborhood with stores nearby.

Eddy our host was the most communicative of all of our AirBnB experiences to date. We could rely on her prompt responses, helpful answers and good follow-up information. The Black Cabin was perfect for our meet up with our son, his wife and their animals (who loved the fenced-in backyard). In the kitchen we had all the appliances and cooking utensils we needed for cooking two dinners and a big breakfast. We loved the roomy refrigerator to fit the foods for our diverse dietary needs. We were grateful for the dishwasher and the washer/dryer as we were on our second week of vacation. We were able to completely relax in the lovely nature setting and we took some walks that led to benches overlooking a pond. We had a fire in the firepit and enjoyed the evening roasting marshmallows. We had no specific plans, but with the convenient access to Indiana Dunes National Parks, we went on 4 consecutive days exploring different parts of it. We all had a memorable time and 2 great dinners out!

Absolutely magical place. Truly isolated in the midst of a small meadow (no close neighbors), the cabin is also excellently appointed with everything you could possibly need, high quality kitchen and bathroom fittings, and lots of little quirky touches. Full length windows surround the living space, with stunning views that I could gaze at all day. Ryan was friendly, helpful and quick to respond. Can’t think of a single thing that needed improvement. We had a fabulous time and are already dreaming of the next time we can come back!

We had a truly great stay here! The place accommodated our group of 14 people very comfortably. Rooms were clean, we had everything we needed during our stay, and we were just minutes away from Indiana Dunes. Best of all, the hosts were very responsive and even accommodated us to check in early and leave a little later. Would definitely choose to stay here again!

It was a great stay at Kendall's place! It was clean and plenty of room for a one bedroom house. There are a ton of things to do right at the campground and the neighbors were very friendly. Close to Indiana Dunes and a short drive to other places of interest.
