Cottage holiday rentals in Port Macquarie

We have booked with Ned a few times in the past for both us or our parents, and everyone loves staying here. It's the perfect stopover when driving from Sydney to Brisbane. The cottage is so quiet, cosy, well set up and we love how dog friendly it is. Just a short trip from the highway and incredibly convenient. Also run by such a beautiful family. Couldn't recommend more highly.

We are so happy we have found this beautiful gem. We will come back for sure! Our arrival was a bit stressful as we were trying to arrive quickly before the roads were closed (due to floods) and Jill helped us along the way even organizing a really early check in! We were also lucky to stay another night as the roads were still closed or just newly opened. The place is beautiful in the rain and bathed in the sunshine. We saw so many birds and loved saying hi to the chickens everyday. It is cosy, well furnished and extremely comfortable! It really feels like home! We will recommend it to friends and family when they come to this part of the world!

My partner and I stayed at Mike’s place over the long weekend. It was peaceful and lovely stay. Plenty of things to do: tennis, cycling, swimming (too cold for us tho), pool table, dart, jacuzzi spa, etc. The ducks are lovely. Christine recommended a short cycling path which was very peaceful and we enjoyed very much. The fireplace kept us warm. The bed is comfortable as well! We find ourselves reset after the stay. Worth the 3.5 hrs drive from Sydney.

The property is beautiful and so peaceful! We very much enjoyed the atmosphere even in heavy rains we were nice and cosy looking out at the rain on the river!

Really lovely night away in the country! Our dog loved running free around the property and our toddler enjoyed the little forest trail walk, feeding the goats and he enjoyed the ducks. We added a lovely farmers brekkie hamper to our booking which we really enjoyed too. Thank you ☺️

Roz was super accommodating with our last minute request to stay. We were so grateful to have a ‘home away from home’, for the duration of a course I was attending nearby and to share the cosy, private and peaceful space with our dogs. The sofa bed I front of the fire was a big novelty for our daughter, and we all stayed very warm thanks to the plentiful firewood provided. Beautiful north western mountain views from the elevated site and wonderful sunsets to wind down with in the evening. Comfy beds, fresh linen and quiet nights left us all refreshed and ready to explore and enjoy the wonders of Biripi and Worimi country. Thanks Roz! I will certainly recommend.

Kerry was such a wonderful host for our stay. The accommodation was absolutely beautiful, very private and close to Old bar. The drive out was nice and scenic and as soon as you arrive it’s like a breath of fresh air. The fireplace was toasty and warm, the bathroom was very spacious and the place also boasts a big open kitchen space with all the condiments you need! We all had a room to ourselves which was a bonus. I will definitely be back for future occasions. Such a perfect spot for a weekend away immersed in nature’s beauty

Had a lovely stay at the Cottage. Comfy bed in well appointed and spacious surrounds and truly welcoming for our fur baby.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chill-Out cottage. Check-in was super easy. It’s a great property for families with dogs. The dog friendly One Mile beach is just around the corner, our doggies were thrilled. The cottage was very comfortable, spacious, clean and extremely well equipped. There are books, games, puzzles for rainy days and we enjoyed watching Binge and Netflix in the evenings. We will definitely return.

wow! where do I start. the serenity? the amazing views? the super clean well equipped cottage? the friendly thoughtful host? we loved everything about Sam's place, from the cosy fireplace to the sun-filled deck, the well maintained walking trails, secure yard for our pooch, comfy bed, ....the goats! We are already planning to return next year.

Fantastic Place. Loved absolutely everything. Huge bonus that we could have our beloved doggo with us. The pool and Tennis court were well used by us as was the back verandah where we ate, played games and just chilled. Will definitely be booking again in the future.

Went away for a few nights with some friends and the accommodation was absolutely beautiful, clean and well furnished! There were plenty of books, games, outdoor furniture, BBQ, and kitchen amenities which made the trip very easy and fun. The location was so peaceful and quiet and the drives to the beaches were really pretty views of the lake passing lots of beautiful farmland. Luisa was an amazing host giving lots of local recommendations and giving very easy instructions for check in and check out. Would definitely recommend and will be 100% going back!

I've stayed at a bunch of Airbnb's over the years; this is definitely the most well stocked airbnb I've ever stayed at. Everything and anything you could possibly want is in this home which is awesome. Very clean as well and in a fantastic location. Five stars.

It is often hard to find dog friendly places that arent run down, especially in this area. Bonnydoon was a very pleasant exception to this. A really comfortable week, new kitchen amenities and great yard for the dogs.

Absolutely loved our stay here, it was set up so well. The breakfast hamper and the stocked fire place was such a nice touch. Even in our 20s we enjoyed walking around the fairy gardens and exploring the yard. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay. Would really recommend it

Beautiful peaceful apartment and bery friendly host

Great spot to stay. Close to the beach, lagoon and shops. It's not the newest or most modern place, but what else do you need when you're only 100metres from the beach. Would definitely stay again.

Peaceful mornings and misty mountain views set the tone for a restful stay. We spotted a few cows and calves in the paddock, and a cute little kangaroo family near the house at sunrise. Collected a few fresh eggs straight from the farm, fresh and tasty. Jill and Ian were easy to reach and helpful throughout. :)

Such a beautiful location. The cabin was lovely. I would definitely stay here again!
