“There are 50+ steps to Sam’s flat but well worth the climb to stay in this cosy wee gem. It’s delightfully furnished and everything needful is present. It is quiet. The views from the sitting room are glorious and I even watched a peacock as I washed up in the kitchen. We had bikes and it was an easy 15min seafront ride into Rothesay (but we got soaked on the way back!). This is a great place to stay.”

“As with the majority of the property's reviews, the photos don’t do it justice. Sheena’s bungalow is very spacious but still cosy and sparkling clean. With less than a 10 minute drive from the ferry terminal at Rothesay, the route takes you round the shore giving you a chance to take in the lovely views. We had a 3 year old and an 18 month old with us and Sheena had kindly set up a travel cot for us and much to the delight of the kids, she had candy canes and chocolate decorations I. Her Christmas tree. And after the overindulgence of the festive period, us adults were delighted to find a lovely fruit basket on our arrival. We were also happy to find that Ettrick Bay was just over a 5 minute drive away from us- a huge sandy beach that the kids spent an hour running around with a very reasonably priced tearoom. Additionally, the local leisure centre was a short drive away and we spent an hour there having a swim which tired the kids out meaning we could enjoy a drive round this beautiful island. We would recommend Harry Haws and Kingarth Hotel for food- service was really great. All in all a great recharge for us going into the New Year and we’ll definitely be rebooking at some point this year.”
Lovely quiet room in spacious Victorian house. Ideal for short breaks.
“We had a lovely stay at Jane and Martins. The house is lovely and communication after booking and checking in was super quick and easy. The room was great and spacious and we were left tea, coffee and tea cakes. We came in and out when we wanted which was great and they left out breakfast which we could help ourselves to. Beautiful location and the views are gorgeous. Super close to the ferry terminal too! Thank you.”
