The grounds are surrounded by tall conifers and landscaped vegetable/flower gardens. Relax under the stars, build a campfire and enjoy the outdoors. Close to walking trails & bike trails. All seasons recreation at your fingertips, waiting for you with shops and dining, just 2.5 miles to downtown Sandpoint/City Beach. 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended for winter

Welcome to Pinewood nest! This spacious studio is located on 5 forested tranquil acres just minutes away from the hiking, cross country skiing, and sledding at Pine Street Woods. Situated in a historic Sandpoint home, the lodge is 10 min from downtown Sandpoint and 20 min to Schweitzer. It features vaulted ceilings with windows and patio doors that look out on trees, fields and mountains. A queen bed sleeps two and the sofa converts to a full bed making this ideal for a couple or small family.

The cabins were moved here in the 1960s from the Farragut Naval Base, where they were company housing. Clean, lived in and comfortable. We are walking distance of a theatre, mall, grocery store and a short walk to the lake path that leads to town. 3 miles to the base of Schweitzer. There is a large un-fenced back yard. Our units are not suitable for children. There is a busy cafe, highway and railroad tracks. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing oasis, this is probably not a good fits

You won't find another spot as central or with as much character. Plus, furnishings and appliances are new!

Our stay here in March was absolutely wonderful. A beautiful cabin in the nearby mountains of Sandpoint. Humble, peaceful, and tranquil; exactly what we needed in order to recharge during our spring break from college in the city. We highly recommend this stay for all travelers. Lake Affect Retreat is an absolutely beautiful and stunning home. The pictures don't do it justice. The home is nestled among tall trees and sits just right at the lake's edge. We were able to watch bald eagles and other wildlife while relaxing on the porch. We BBQ steaks, soaked in the hottub, and used their kayaks for a fun filled weekend. Deon and Christopher were excellent hosts; friendly and always available for any needs we may have needed. Her banana bread is delicious and was a kind welcoming. I would recommend staying here! Thank you for your generosity in sharing your space with us.

An absolutely beautiful find! So quaint and quiet. Friendly little community. The most gorgeous views. So much to do! Yummy restaurants. Larry was so helpful and communicative. The space was perfect for myself, my husband, and our dogs. We all had the best weekend! I know we’ll be back to stay in Larry’s wonderful home again in the future.

This was a last minute spontaneous booking that will now be a tradition! Matt was a lovely host! The place was very comfy. We walked in with snacks and all the goodies needed for s’mores!! My boyfriend loved the fire pit in the back. We will recommend this place to friends/family!!

Ruth’s place was perfect for our time spent in Sandpoint. The neighborhood was quiet and only a 10-15 minute walk or a 5 minute bike ride to downtown. The place was clean and comfortable and exactly what we were looking for.
