Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Pococí

My stay was excellent. Everything was very clean, the location is ideal and safe, with easy access to everything. The neighborhood is very quiet, perfect for rest. Communication with the host was always quick and clear. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

If you are expecting a 5 star hotel do not go here. If you are expecting an experience, amazing food, no AC, cold showers, no iron or hair dryer and an amazing rural farm experience that you will never forget then this is the place to go. Extremely good, honest, hard working people. They feed you almost everything they grow or raise and give you the same food they eat or feed their kids. Mary Luz is an amazing person and a great cook. Plenty of other options available in the area to get a farm experience but if you also want a foodie experience then this place is it. As everyone has said rough roads but we had a good suv and got there in 20 minutes after we turned off highway 32. For some people it may take 45 minutes. Expect to get woken up with birds and roosters making a racket around 5:30 am.

We had an exceptional two-night stay with my family (with my wife and our three daughters). This is probably one of our best Airbnb Experiences! The place, a little away from the classic tourist circuits, is a real gem. You discover beautiful nature: a lush forest, a beautiful waterfall, superb animals and very good restaurants nearby. The location is also ideal for those who want to reach Tortuguero or Cahuita easily. Meals and breakfast are excellent, made with care and taste. A real plus! A huge thank you to Laura, who is an extremely attentive, warm and available host. It was a real pleasure. We recommend this place without a second thought!

Lovely bungalow, simple and clean. Very well placed, welcoming host, we share the local life.

I was stolen from my backpack in the bus on the way from San José. Janette helped me a lot to find my way around and had a lot of understanding because I had to leave the next day right away because of it. I even got my money back and only paid for the one night. In the evening when I arrived, Janette and her family even cooked me dinner. The next time I go to Tortuguero, I'd be happy to stay with Janette again. But this time I better take care of my backpack:)

Heidy's place is a perfectly located, cosy spot from which to explore Tortuguero, relax and go to the beach. Less than five minutes walk to centre of town and boat drop off and pick up place, at one end of the street and beach at the other. It is also very quiet and private, we enjoyed using the patio for quiet meals or drinks. The beach is beautiful and their was a sloth one night in a coconut tree on the beach. Heidy had arranged for us to be met when we stepped off the boat and a local guide showed us to the flat. Heidy was always super responsive and helpful whenever we had a question. Please note there is no air-conditioning or hot water in the shower, but that didn't bother us, the fan kept us cool at night. I would love to come back to Tortuguero and hope to stay at Heidy's again.

The stay at David's house was great and super spacious and has a beautiful decoration! They are two very well equipped houses. Only that decoration goes the light often. But it's something from the place of guapiles. The grill is outside the house. David was a friendly and very helpful host. And best of all, they accept pets.

The place is so described, only they no longer have the fishing space available, otherwise everything is as seen in the photos, the place is private, it was organized and clean. The host is very nice and thoughtful of what one needs.

Perfect place to enjoy with your family far from the noise and pollution of the city. Road is in good condition, not asphalted but drivable. Dogs loved running all over the place, the electric car was charged with the 110 v outlet in the porch and there is a clear water river just in 20 min walking.

The place was in line with the listing. It is a small and private place, perfect for a couple. The pool was excellent, the recommended waterfalls are unmissable, as they are beautiful and equally very relaxing. My wife and I visited Figues, where the owner and his wife are very friendly. César was very friendly, communicative and at all times ready for what might be needed, and make our experience as pleasant as possible. The second night we used the fire pit, and it was amazing. The property is beautiful and every morning you wake up to the sound of the birds, of which there are many and varied species in the area. We had a great time, thanks Caesar!

Pleasant stay at Jennifer's in a peaceful setting. The house is very spacious and tastefully decorated.

Casa Amapola is a beautiful house in a fabulous setting, with open views over the rainforest and down to the Caribbean Sea. It is spacious and well-equipped and you could easily sit on the veranda for days on end just enjoying the view and the wildlife around you. There is a bumpy track up to the Estate and then down to the property, but this is in relatively good condition for Costa Rican gravel tracks and is driveable with 2WD. The nearest town, Siquirres, is about 10km away and has a wide range of shops and restaurants. This is a beautiful place to stay if you want a quiet and peaceful experience of Caribbean Costa Rica and when they have finished upgrading the San Jose-Limon road then the coast will be easily accessible.

Excellent place, thanks to the view of birds, visit animals arrive, sound of the relaxing river, the super attentive host, we had an inconvenience in breaking a dish, and he behaved in a great way, totally recommended

The house is located in a very quiet and safe place, where many wild birds can be observed. We were greeted with the well-equipped house, everything you need for cooking, even enough firewood to use the grill as well as to make a fire pit. The bedroom is cozy and we have enough blankets available. The balcony is spacious and makes you want to stay there for hours to rest. The property has an extensive green area which gives you privacy. It is a great place to enjoy a very quiet and safe place.

Staff is friendly and help full. Clean and quiet area despite main road a few meters away. Convenient location if you have a car. Can be difficult to access entrance when there is traffic because of the one lane bridge. I stayed in July so there were a lot of bugs in the porch area, sometimes they come in if the door is not closed fast enough, but it's part of the CR nature. Bug spray helped keep them at bay.

Randall is a very kind and nice Person, he is specialist in many tours, such as Waterfall etc.... The place is very nice, has a kitchen, bathroom, living room a great outdoors patio, where you can see all kind of birds, very spezial. We can highly recommend to stay here. Thanks Randall for your kindness, we will be back 😉

I liked the apartment, very quiet place, I was able to rest, nearby there are restaurants,shops, supermarkets, Doña Xinia, a very quality lady, attentive, she had what I needed, very happy and comfortable with the place.
