Beachfront holiday rental in Pleasant Bay

Beautiful sea view and peaceful stay! Loved the space and how it’s maintained. Very cozy and warm for a getaway. Jaye & Scott have been responsive, friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to all those who are looking for a warm place and great sea view!

Wonderful place to stay. We met some less than ideal weather for adventuring with our 2 year old and couldn’t have picked a better spot to lay low for a couple nights. The space is beautiful and yet the setting steals the show. The team is working very hard to ensure the experience of staying at Ridge on the Chimney is a once in a lifetime.

Beautiful house by the ocean with a stunning view; the pictures don't do it justice! Clean, quiet, private. Accurate listing. Located at the center north of Cape Breton Island, therefore convenient to explore west and east coast while staying in one place!

We stayed a week in Nadene’s cottage in Ingonish and it was perfect for us. The location is excellent and the proximity to the beach and views are exceptional. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for cooking or grilling and the satellite TV was a bonus. We’ve stayed at a number of places over the years in Ingonish area and none are better than Nadene’s. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Had all basic necessities in the house. Andrea was helpful when we had any questions. Since it's near waters a bug spray will be really helpful.

What a wonderful place, felt like a home while being clean and accessible. Beautiful waterfront location, with a welcoming and responsive host. Would easily book again, regretting that I didn't stay longer.

We had a wonderful time in Cheticamp. John was helpful for suggestions about hiking and restaurants. I would highly recommend his beautiful place.

We had a great 3 night stay at this campsite! This spot was easy to find and we loved how private it was. Kristy & Michael were very kind and responsive as well. We would definitely choose this campsite again when we return back to beautiful Cape Breton!

My husband and I stayed at Loren’s place for five nights while visiting Cape Breton for the first time. It is a great location, surrounded by beautiful beaches and the trans Canada trail. We rented e-bikes and rode the trail. We spent hours walking the beautiful beaches and visited a few hiking trails. Loren’s place is within easy walking distance to a lovely restaurant, a local pub, a co-op grocery store and three beaches. So happy that we stayed here for our first time in Cape Breton. We had everything that we needed. Thank you Loren.

The host was available and hospitable. We were a group of 7 and the house was perfect for what we needed. We loved our stay there and we will keep precious memories of this stay. I highly recommend!

Cody’s Airbnb is a great accommodation for larger families. Everything we needed and more was available within the house. Walking distance and wheelchair accessible to sandy beach. Location is spectacular, bring your binoculars for a closer view of Port Hood Island and finish the night with a bonfire or star gazing from the balcony.

Great stay! Michael was there to personally great us and walk us through the property. House is spacious and clean. Nice views from the front two bedrooms.. Kitchen was well stocked for those who prefer to cook. Good selection of spices. While there are resurants 10-20 minutes away, they all pretty much have the same style of food. So, having the kitchen was great. Didn't get the opportunity to enjoy the property and the lake as we only had a couple days. But if you have time, the lake is beautiful. Our trip was 10 nights throughout NS and PEI. So Bonus having a full size washer/dryer. Nice to travel with not have luggage with a week of dirty clothes. Will stay here again, but longer.

This is probably the one home that we can truly call home away from home. "Shandy" is the place to choose if you are looking for a cozy, clean and one of a kind Airbnb experience. And did I say if you want a host that will be proactive and responsive all the way -- prior to your arrival ans until after you check out, Sharon is your person. She personally reached out to us to ask about specific things that family may require when staying away from home. Her prompt communication is beyond comprehension and her level of hospitality completely blew us away. Our teenagers loved the space and they couldn't hide their excitement and gratitude as they left a note for Mr. Sandy and Ms. Sharon. We look forward to returning to "Shandy", until then, please make sure you check it out. You won't regret.

We wouldn’t change a thing! The house was adorable, spotless, has a beautiful view and Vee left muffins and fruit in the house waiting for us! Loved being able to use a washer and dryer, everything seemed new and comfy, not like “leftovers” being used to decorate a rental. Do not pass on this home!!!

Highly recommend this stay if you are seeking peaceful nature and a relaxing stay. Eagle flights and sunset sights. Don’t wait to book it, you will not regret it!

This beautiful home made our Father’s Day weekend fishing trip one of the best we have had to date. Our typical place was book so we decided to try a new spot, so glad we did, this will be forever our go to spot when staying in the area!

Chris's home is truly a slice of heaven! we spent a week in this beautiful chalet on a private beach. We use Airbnb a lot and this house and location was one of our favorite. SO peaceful and relaxing,SO comfortable and beautiful, really felt like home away from home for our large family. Right off the Cabot trail, we were able to take day trips around Cape Breton Island and enjoy everything the area had to offer. Chris was super helpful and communication was quick and easy. HIGHLY recommend this Airbnb!

This Airbnb was everything it said it was in the description and more. A great layout, well equipped with everything you need, easy access and a stunning view in a lovely town. Highly recommend!

My husband, our Bernese Mt. dog and myself stayed at this exceptional property. We travel frequently and this is without question our favorite Airbnb to date. We were welcomed with a sweet treat and wine. There were bowls & a comfy bed for our pup. I loved that the hosts send daily texts with itinerary suggestions. The ocean views are stunning. The beach is private and serene. The restaurant suggestions in the guidebook are wonderful. The Woodroad experience was fantastic. The property is about 30-35 minutes to enter the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The Skyline Trail is located about 15 minutes from the park entrance and a great day trip from the Airbnb. We also had easy access to the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail in Inverness for biking/hiking. Finally, we had the pleasure of meeting Scott who took the time to point out Pilot Whales in the cove which could be seen from the deck/hot tub. Every detail of this property is meticulously addressed. We can’t wait to stay again.
