A one-night lightning visit with a very good dinner! The beach is very close, easy to access on foot, the best on arrival! All the women in the place are very nice and helpful. The bus we wanted to take the next day didn't come and the beach we wanted to see was closed. Our host found us a taxi and advised us of another beach, and the day was perfect! One of us was sick, she accepted that she stayed in the accommodation all day, provided her with a bed, as well as herbal teas etc... A big thank you for everything!

Casa Asiel was a beautifully clean and private spot in Plays Giron. Asiel and his wife are perfect hosts. We think we had 'the best breakfast in Cuba' at Asiel's place! Highly recommended.

Beautiful room with bathroom, within a minute on the beach. Libby gave us good tips for beautiful beaches and helped us rent bikes. Directly across the street is a small kiosk where you can buy water (not self-evident!).

We loved the house. The perfect and functional room, with an unbeatable terrace. The views from the terrace are breathtaking... having breakfast there watching the sunrise is a luxury. Very rich and abundant breakfast: fruit, natural juice, eggs, toast, arepas... I would repeat without hesitation.

We had a very pleasant stay. The host makes you feel very welcome and we could see several hummingbirds from the terasse. Highly recommended!

We had a brilliant time here, we had each day filled with all the activities we wanted to do around the bay of pigs, and Joriol and his team had all our transport and guides sorted. Our driver was amazing and had so much patience with our very basic level of Spanish! The house is also a 2 min walk out the back door from the beach which we made use of daily, and there are great views from the terraces.

simple and pleasant accommodation, small terrace in front of the shade. very nice host, even called us a neighboring doctor for our son. walking access to the beach in 5 minutes. good breakfast.

The two of us spent 2 nights in this place in December and we can generally recommend it. Playa Larga is a smaller town but we had a nice time going for bird watching (the national park office is right next door) and visiting the area by a taxi. I think the beaches very close to the town are average, for a good beach and snorkeling experience, I'd recommend heading towards Playa Giron and stop a few times along the way (leave the cave thing, and find a less popular stop) any driver can give you tips. Cenia speaks decent english and can help you with general requests.

I am very happy to have found this place and stayed a few days longer than I originally planned. The Casa corresponded exactly to the description and photos - you could see the sea right from the bed. Everything was clean and there were little loving touches. Highlights were definitely the extensive breakfast on the terrace and the few meters to the sea. Riders was always easily accessible and helpful and had good tips for excursions in the area. I can also recommend the place, especially if you want to arrive in Cuba in peace and eat well. They were wonderful days - thank you so much!

Good stay in Playa Larga a few minutes away from the beach. Noraida let us choose between our initially booked room and a slightly bigger one. The room had a fridge for the water and an effective AC so both myself and my wife had a sound sleep. The only thing I would add is that for the future, she should put the prices of everything that's charged extra to the cost of the room on the fridge because, like the other guests, we thought the water was complimentary but we were charged. And it's not really the cost that's relevant but it works better for both parties involved. Other than that, Noraida is an excellent host and cook and up for a banter but one needs to speak Spanish to fully benefit from the interaction with her. She's very helpful arranging trips to the local attractions, taxis or whatever questions one might have. She even drove us (we were 4) around for a day to various activities for $10 per person which is not bad considering what taxi drivers charge in Cuba

To stay with Bombo is to become a part of his family, and what an absolute privilege that was. I was very sad to leave Playa Larga, and my memories of his smile, his secret handshake, the generosity and hospitality of his wife will live a long time in my memory- proof indeed that kindness is still prevalent in the human condition. A great stay! We definitely recommend this stay. Very clean, the family is kind and the breakfast and dinner are delicious. They helped us a lot when we asked.

It was amazing. The stay was amazing, your place is beautiful and the beach was great. It was the perfect spot for our kids. This is my second time there. Fidel was the perfect host and catered to all of our needs. It's difficult with electricity. But up to q they have a generator. So q still has electricity in the house if something happens. Neighbors meal was delicious and lots of food for everyone. Unexpensive, but it was worth it.

A lovely self contained space with comfortable beds in a good location in Giron. Would recommend!

By far the best place we've been in all of Cuba . Lilli and her family were very kind to us helping us and giving us great advice. We ate together every night because they're also great cooks and enjoyed playing with their son Aaron. We'll be back just for them . Super !

Had the best lobster I’ve ever eaten. Also, the diving is very nice. Very friendly people who are helping you anyway they can and give you a nice view on the Cuban life.

I stayed in Cuba for 10 days and my 2 friends that traveled with me said this was their favorite place to stay. Cuba can be a challenging place to travel to, but don't let that change your plans because there is so much support from the hosts here. My friends were out to do birdwatching and Yasmani, our onsite host made sure that happened. I had to stay back to handle some traveling logistics and had to plan a diffent outing. Again, Yasmani came through and I had a driver arranged that took me to some of the best snorkeling sights. Beyond those details, the warmth and care provided was evident in the meals and interactions with Yasmani and his family/team. I plan to return and if you haven't been here, book now!!!

We could not have been happier here. The family are wonderful, the location is right by everything you want to see, and the rooms are amazingly comfortable. It is the perfect place to unplug and enjoy some beach time. The house is tucked away from the main street, and 5-10 minute walk from the beach, restaurants, and museum.
