Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Pittsylvania County

My wife and I spent a weekend getaway at Alicia’s place. I loved that it was right on the water with a dock to access the lake. The place exceeded our expectations! They pictures were great but it’s even better when you arrive. It was a great mix of modern amenities and rustic cabin. The backyard was also absolutely beautiful with the wide array of landscaping. Alicia was a wonderful and responsive host who made sure we had a great time.

We spent 3 very rainy days at Smith Mountain Lake, and Gwen's place was the highlight for our small gathering of 2 families (4 adults & 4 kids). In terms of space for sleeping, we had more than enough. The 5th bedroom came in handy for the lone teenager in our group, and rooms are spaced throughout the house in a way that allows you to arrange them in order by who is going to sleep first. Beyond that, we spent a lot of time at the place just relaxing. There's a great hot tub/spa that's more than big enough for 4 adults, and a huge, covered back porch off the kitchen that's great for hanging out, even in the rainy winter. Gwen has stocked the place with board games, air hockey and foosball, and there's a ping pong table in the lower porch area. Based on our stay this winter, we'd love to come back when the weather is nicer. The dock is perfect for swimming and getting the kayaks out in the water. Thanks again, Gwen!

Our quick escape before picking our son up from NC State was relaxing and so enjoyable. Spent a lot of time out on the lake. Temperatures were warmer than the usual April weather, we both have great tans to prove it! We were very comfortable at your place. Perfectly located off of Scruggs gave us the ability to get to our favorite restaurants (Napolis is the best and only a quick walk away). New to us was Black water cafe, totally awesome! We will go there again when we return. We were able to spend time with family that have recently moved to the lake. Our little escape has re energized us, filled our hearts with joy and great memories on the lake. Your place had everything we needed. We were very comfortable. We enjoyed the decor, the layout, everything about your little slice of heaven on the lake. Who could ask for anything more. Thank you sincerely.

This condo was perfect for our weekend getaway! Newly renovated, comfortable furniture and amazing views. Host was a pleasure to work with!

Joshua’s place was exactly as described. It was very clean and well decorated. The mattress on the bed was very comfortable. He even left snacks for us! We loved it and would definitely stay there another time. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Communication with the host was very responsive and transparent. As I was traveling with two trucks with boats attached and worried about getting in and out. The driveway is very suitable to get in and out and location to the State Park couldn't get much better. The home was very clean with all the accommodations we could have ask for and beyond. They have went out of their way to make the stay comfortable, from back porch screened in seating to snacks and ice available. If traveling with pets' accommodations were made for them as well. I will 100% try to reserve for a stay there again in the future

This has to be the most complete and relaxing experience my family and I have had. Summer and her family were ultra responsive, helpful, friendly and are genuinely good people. We have two children and they were able to meet and enjoy summers family. What you would think could have taken forever to need up with 3 children clamoring to go play with their new friend! My heart smiles. This entire stay we are all already planning our next trip to the cabin for more adventures and friend time! Thank you so much for everything!

We were blessed to enjoy Betsey's home with part of our family over the Easter weekend for some much needed R&R. The home is exactly as described and the views are incredible! The peaceful cove is perfect for enjoying the sun, relaxing with a good book, kayaking, fishing, etc. The home is large enough for the older kids (we had teens with us) to spread out and have some space of their own and mom & dad to enjoy space as well! The kitchen was perfect for cooking family meals and everyone enjoyed hanging out at the bar while meals were being prepared catching up and talking. We did have an incident with the AC not working properly (We didn't need it until the afternoon so we had no idea until late afternoon it wasn't functioning well) and Betsey had someone there the following morning, even on a holiday weekend to take care of this. Betsey was kind, responsive, and excellent to work with! We will definitely be back and I can't wait to enjoy this peace of paradise again!

Take a step back in time. If you like that retro feel and love history, this is a great place to stay. They have a book that tells you about the house restoration, it takes you on a tour/journey back in time. Take a walk around the grounds and you will find a lovely view. The chickens are beautiful, especially the white rooster. We will definitely come back.
