Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Petralona, Athens

I stayed with my wife and two daughters for 3 days, we felt comfortable as if we were in our own home. There is a market on Saturdays, we shopped there. Very close to the subway, within walking distance. If you want to be close to both the center of Athens and the beaches, this place is very successful in terms of location.

This villa was amazing. Highly recommend. Accomodations were amazing and you cannot beat the location. 5-10 min walk from the Acropolis, 5-10 min walk from Monastiraki/shopping. The house is very comfortable and has a ton of nice amenities. Will definitely be staying there again when we come back to Athens.

Very clean apartment, well optimized and a little smaller than in the photos, but very functional. The terrace is very well furnished and pleasant, the neighborhood is quiet and residential, 10 minutes from the metro. Located on the 5th floor with elevator, it is really conducive to rest. Hosts were very responsive, clear and available, very welcoming. A big thank you! We spent 3 wonderful days in Athens, we recommend this listing to those who want quiet accommodation.

We had a great stay for our honeymoon. The accommodation is beautiful, functional, very clean and communication with the host is excellent! The neighborhood is lively and there are plenty of small restaurants nearby. We recommend 100% and will be back with pleasure!

Great location with restaurants across the street. Great for groups who want to be under the same roof but also want to have their own space in different apartments. There are 3 apartment and each apartment is equipped with a bathroom which made getting ready easy for us 4 ladies. The top 1st floor apt ‘Harmonia’ is very modern, with two twin beds in one room and a Queen size in the other room, kitchen with a cute pink fridge and very modern bathroom. Then there’s the basement apartment ‘Erato’ with a twin sized bed in one room and a queens sized bed in the adjacent room. Living room with tv as well. This apartment has had a switch which you had to flip about 30 mins before taking a shower so you can heat the water, which was a little inconvenient but wasn’t such a deal breaker. The basement apartment’s shower is tricky, had to turn knobs and a contraption on the faucet you had to move up and down to make it go from faucet to shower. Then there’s the studio apt ‘Aegle’ which is small

The place was beautiful, very clean and cozily furnished with a great kitchen where there was everything you need to cook and to make yourself a coffee in the morning. The roof terrace can only be reached via an elevator, but it is very private and you have an extremely great view over Athens. We felt comfortable and would keep coming back! As only note: the location is very nice and quiet in a very safe neighborhood of Athens, however you really walk a lot of stairs to get to the apartment.

We had a great time in Athens, and Eli's apartment contributed to that. The location is on a lovely, quiet street with everything you need within walking distance. The modern decor, good amenities, and fantastic roof terrace are perfect. Eli's tips for Athens were absolutely top-notch, and communication was quick, uncomplicated, and friendly. Wow. Cannot say enough. This place was perfect. Everything was within a reasonable walking distance. The metro that will take you anywhere in the city and from the airport is a minute walk away. Suzana was extremely kind and helpful with recommendations and any answers we needed. There were 3 great sized bedrooms each had its own ac unit and walkout patio, you also had access to a rooftop patio with a view. Would highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at this flat after my two-week adventure through Mykonos, Athens, and Santorini. Lida was incredibly pleasant, responsive, and informative, making the whole process smooth and enjoyable. She was thorough, organized, and had a charismatic approach that made me feel welcome. The location, while slightly removed from central Athens, is in a prime spot. It’s very walkable, and I felt safe exploring the area. When I didn’t feel like walking, Ubers were affordable and convenient. But, honestly, I enjoyed walking everywhere and soaking up the local atmosphere. The seventh-floor penthouse was fantastic. The flat is spacious, with a surprisingly roomy bathroom that looks even better in person than in the photos. The foyer has tons of useful information for tourists, which I didn’t end up using, but I can see how helpful it would be for others. Overall, I had an amazing, relaxing time decompressing after a whirlwind trip. Thank you for a lovely stay!💙💙💙

Very nice apartment with two bedrooms; basically with two terraces: from the top you have a view of the Acropolis; on the lower one you can have a very good breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. Air conditioners worked very well. We found a few samples in the fridge that we could use. A washing machine is also a plus. Small drawback: there is no exhaust in the bathroom - you can only open the window to the hallway. Location is perfect for exploring Athens. Restaurant recommendation To Trikyklo was great. Communication went smoothly. Check-in was super easy. A later check-out was even offered, which we gladly used. Well-stocked supermarket is just around the corner. Attention: if you are traveling with large suitcases, you will find the last part (wooden staircase) a bit narrow. Next time, we would only come with hand luggage. There is otherwise no reason to complain. We can recommend the accommodation and host without reservation. Thank you!

I had a wonderful time staying at Louis’s Apartment. The Apartment was just as described; clean, cozy, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect for getting around, with the metro and bus stop just steps away, making it effortless to explore Athens. Louis was a great host—friendly, responsive, and always ready to help. If I’m back in Athens, I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Beautiful views Very peaceful Kyriakos is very communicative and friendly. The house has tonnes of amenities (how often does your house have an elevator) Would highly recommend renting a car if you're not from the area. Tip for the other travellers: the property is on a very large beautiful tract off land with an automatic gate that can only be opened from the house or two remotes the host provides. Easy enough but something to keep in mind

Host always responded and was very helpful with on-time and affordable transportation from airport and to cruise port and back to airport. We had 7 people with 14 pieces of luggage. 7 minute walk to great restaurants. Would definitely recommend them.

Absolutely perfect stay. The villa is beautifully decorated and maintained. It is just like the photographs. George was our host and he was very responsive, helpful and generous. He was the perfect host. I would absolutely recommend this villa to anyone wanting a relaxed and luxurious stay. Restaurants are mostly not walkable, so hiring a car is recommended but it’s worth it for the views and the privacy. 10/10, I will absolutely come back to stay again.

There were 13 of us as a family in the accommodation. Overall, everything was great and we were able to spend very nice days in the villa. The only points we noticed: - No key for the bathroom on the ground floor and upper floor. We also had guests there and with so many people it was unpleasant. The host himself only noticed this when we checked in. The last visitors were held responsible for many defects. But nothing that we found to be a shame was replaced or repaired. - Sometimes there were problems with the hot water for the shower after midnight. Even after trying for a long time, there was no warm water at night and we had to wait until the morning. This was not so optimal, as there were so many people and I wanted to get ready for my wedding in the evening. - We had 2 baby beds, but the mattress was missing for one and we did not get a replacement. Otherwise, everything was great and we would recommend the villa.

We had an amazing stay at John's place! John and his family are truly exceptional hosts—pleasant, helpful, and so welcoming. John's local recommendations were spot-on. The house is lovely—beautifully decorated with charming features and character. It is bright, spacious, tidy, and clean, with all the essentials provided to ensure a comfortable stay. The location is equally fantastic, offering convenient access to grocery shops, a pharmacy, and excellent local restaurants, all within easy reach. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We highly recommend staying here and are looking forward to returning in the future. Thank you, John and family, for making our stay so comfortable and special!

My friends and I (3 couples) stayed for a night before we headed home from a 3 week Greece adventure. There was lots of space and the home had everything we needed. There were additional little touches the host did to make our group feel very welcomed.

Lefteris, was a wonderful host! He went above and beyond our expectations! Such a kind, and very thoughtful host. The home was spectacular! What a beautiful place was Villa Marina. I highly recommend it and we will be back again!
