This place was amazing - modern amenities in a historical home. Everything was clean, crisp and cozy! There was a beautiful forest walking trail just minutes from the house which led to a waterfall which was a great way to start the day. Quick ride in to Old Quebec for tours and shopping!

We had a great stay. The house is conveniently close to downtown Baie-Saint-Paul and an easy drive to Le Massif. This is the second year we have stayed here. The kitchen is well-equipped. The fireplace and hot tub are great to have. The beds are very comfortable. We will be back.

Our stay at Alex’s place was wonderful. Six adults enjoyed our the absolutely charming house with plenty of privacy. Each couple effectively had a floor to themselves, but there were great spaces to be together as well. We were 15 minutes from old Quebec, 10 minutes from Montmorency. The house was perfect for our group, beautifully old world charming. Parking was easy and Alex’s communication was superb: he was very responsive and clear. I would not hesitate to stay there again. This was a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful views, peaceful and you could tell the hosts take great care and pride in their place. Was very easy to find and access and the place was clean and had everything we needed (and more)! Highly recommend!

There were 13 of us during our stay, which included 4 teenagers. The fact that each of the rooms had a bathroom was a huge advantage. We all felt great in the house. We didn't step on each other's toes, we were able to have our meals at one table. One morning, we were able to gather outside to eat our lunch in peace. The place is beautiful. The house's character is fabulous. We would have even taken longer, so much so that we were well there. It was a magical weekend. I recommend it 100%!!!

Wonderful place. The view over the fields was so peaceful. Not much view over the river. The house was bright and big rooms. This is the place for peace and quiet.

Listing was as described on the listing. It was clean and nicely decorated. They had all the essentials for our daily lives. The river view was beautiful. The owner was very kind, welcoming and responsive. The little plus, the outdoor fire by the forest and a short walk in the forest from the accommodation. The Charlevoix massif is not far by car as well as the pittoresque village of Saint Paul Bay. Thank you so much we had a lovely time.

Very nice house. There is only one bedroom with a door and privacy. But really perfect for a family. Very satisfied, thank you for having us!

We had a great time in Avignon. The house was really beautiful and perfect for our group of 8 people including 3 children. It is very well located on the island and really close to Quebec City. Frederique was a great host, very responsive and she was very accommodating. Really nice getaway! I would highly recommend it.

Lovely stay, very clean . We felt right at home and there were gorgeous views! It was slightly smaller than we expected but still a large space. Would book again!

This was my second stay at La Capitainerie, and it was just as pleasant and peaceful to be there! Vincent and Marie-Hélène are proactive and communicate all the necessary information before and during the stay. Their home not only offers a terrace with a magnificent view of the sunsets over the St. Lawrence River, but also everything you need to cook our meals and entertain us. They have a large collection of board games, books, CDs and DVDs. Perfect for rainy days!

We loved our family stay. The place was clean and welcoming. We had everything we had to have fun. We enjoyed the edge of the water and outdoor games. I would recommend this cottage if you are looking for tranquility and a warm place for your whole family (young and old).

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful village of St-Jean-Port-Joli. The accommodation is really well located, you can't get better! A few steps from the river, its marina and all the other tourist attractions of the village. This is a 5*+ accommodation for the quality of the offer: good mattresses, bedding and pillows - superbly equipped kitchen - decor and furnishings more than perfect. It's up to date and well suited for small families. The host is very concerned about the comfort of the residents.

Everything was perfect at Chalet le Shack! The space was exactly what we needed, the kitchen is well equipped, and very nice bathrooms with lots of towels! The location cannot be beat if you’re coming to cross country ski. Quick access to groceries and restaurants. We hope to come back again next winter!
