Our studio is located in Carmel, less than a mile from the town center. The house faces out over Hatton Canyon and affords a private rural setting yet close to Big Sur, Pebble Beach, Monterey, etc. 15 Minute walk to Carmel downtown. A hub to explore Big Sur and all the Monterey Peninsula has to offer. Due to certain regulatory changes regarding minimum stay, the dates you are requesting may not be available. While we prefer longer stays, do make an inquiry to us about the dates you want.

Carmel Large Guesthouse. Perfect.

Our peaceful treehouse is the ideal spot to relax while staying in beautiful Carmel. It is close to everything : white sand beaches, downtown Carmel by the Sea, Pebble Beach, the Carmel Mission...Carmel Valley, Monterey and beautiful Big Sur.... Also short walk to 4 PICKLEBALL COURTS (just far enough away so we don't hear the noise). We are unable to host assistance animals due to being highly allergic to pet dander and this causes my immune system to be compromised.

Petite but sweet studio built by our grandfather, Chaz, in 1940. It is one of four units formerly known as Piney Woods Lodge, where our grandparents welcomed travelers for years. We're excited to return Francy Free to its roots and hope you will join us (two sisters) in continuing their legacy. We enjoyed a wonderful time at Luna’s place! It was quaint, cozy and just what we needed. The only thing I would have preferred was a little better kitchen to prepare your own meals instead of eating out so much. But if we come back to the area, I would absolutely stay there again!

The room and bathroom were spotless, the bed was comfortable, and we got all the amenities needed. The whole place was well organized and quiet. The hosts provided us with useful information about local eateries and places to visit. Finally, the price was reasonable and modest for this season and region. We highly recommend this airbnb for other travellers.

Barefoot Comfort in Carmel - Steps to Town & Beach

I can not say enough about how much my husband and I enjoyed staying at this quaint Carmel cottage. We spent a little over a month here and it really was our home away from home. We arrived to a lovely surprise of wine ,cheese ,crackers and chocolate along with 2x Monterey Aquarium passes waiting for us. Barry also let us use his Safeway card which was very much appreciated ( it saved us money when buying our groceries. ) The cottage is in a perfect location, my husband and I would often walk to town and the beach, and yet is set back enough to feel peaceful and quiet. Barry couldn’t have been more helpful, he was always quick to respond should we have any questions, he even stopped by half way through our stay with another box of chocolates from a local shop in town! I am going to miss this cottage, and I am already planning our visit for next year. Thank you Barry!
