The perfect getaway for our 28th wedding anniversary. Two separate outdoor patios with beautiful views to choose from while enjoying a glass of wine. All the amenities of home. Can’t wait to book again when we can swim and canoe.

Stones Throw Cottage is our favourite spot on the LaHave River. We continue to go back because of the location, private setting in a nice little cove , but also because of how well the cottage is set up and now to make it even better, it has a heat pump! Views of the river right from the deck and dining table are beautiful with wildlife sightings daily!! Joe the host is excellent and responds quickly, and is a great person.

Both hosts are amazing people—very welcoming and made us feel right at home while we were house hunting. The space is comfortable, beautiful, modern, and spotless! We especially loved the TV with all the channels and the gorgeous backyard filled with birds—it was such a peaceful retreat. I would absolutely recommend this spacious and tidy place to anyone visiting the area who’s looking for a quiet stay away from the city, but still close to the ocean!

Another wonderful Easter Weekend with family at The Lookout cottage!! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and the large island is awesome! We love the open concept space. Since we had a nice sunny day, we got to enjoy the large deck and all of the outside seating, overlooking the water! The propane fireplace was nice for chilly mornings. Having a full bath and another half bath is so convenient for 4 people! The hosts are very responsive and provided great instructions about check in and how to find the cottage! Would 100% recommend The Lookout and we hope to return!
