You don't often come across a place like this on Airbnb. The more than 130-year-old log cabin in the cultural heritage landscape of Suvanto takes its residents on a time travel to a 19th century village in the far north of Finland. The property is best suited for a friend of Lapland's nature, history and silence, who is not afraid of the dark in winter or mosquitoes in summer. Please note: there is no public transportation to the village, no toilet in the main building, nor a shower. There is a separate sauna building outside and a traditional outhouse behind the sauna.

Experience the peace and quiet of Lapland's nature and the midnight sun in a unique glass-walled experience cabin on the shore of a wilderness lake. Accommodation for 3, up to 5 beds for those sleeping in their own sleeping bags. The kitchenette has a hot plate, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, toaster and dishes (glasses, mugs, plates, coffee presses, cutlery, etc.). There are showers in the adjacent beach sauna. Composting wood toilet. The sauna is wood-heated. If necessary, we will guide you in heating the sauna. Available in summer and early autumn.

The location is amazing, right in the middle of Pyhätunturi Lapland, 50 m from the slopes, ski tracks and restaurants and 150 m from the grocery store and national park. The lodges are comfortable and simply furnished having a private entrance, kitchen and bathroom perfect for independent travelers. The garden is safe also for small children. Charming cottage with all the amenities on a large plot. The distance to the center of Rovaniemi is only about 25 km. The distance to Santa Claus Village or the airport is also about 25 km. No public transport. The roads are well maintained even in winter. The cottage is easy to get to. If you wish, transportation can be arranged by Mercedes Benz Vito car for an additional fee.
