Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Paralia Koum Κapi

A wonderful place to spend a week. Argiro was the most responsive and attentive host. The location is wonderful - super walkable to walk into Chania old town (20-30mins) with a water view the whole walk. A couple of minutes walk away is the ocean where there are multiple places to swim in the water or watch the sunset. Wonderfully accessible free safe parking is super close as well, 30 second walk from the building. The home itself is impeccably clean, with AC and a very comfortable bed. We felt very at home here. There was some construction that Argiro notified us about before our arrival and said we could cancel if we wanted, but the construction was minimal and starts later in the morning and didn’t bother us at all and we are so glad we stayed here! We wish we could have stayed longer! Please note that the place also has an umbrella in the closet, so don’t go out and buy one like we did!:) now there should be two:)

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Die Lage ist ruhig und bietet einen tollen Blick aufs Meer – perfekt, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Vermieter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben den Aufenthalt angenehm gestaltet. Alles in allem ein schönes Haus für einen entspannten Urlaub am Strand.

I’ve stayed in many Airbnbs over the past 10+ years and this is one of my favourites. Great location in the old town, with a “buzz” around the apartment without being noisy. Excellent restaurants and shops all around. The apartment was perfectly stocked but not cluttered (even sharp kitchen knives - a rarity in Airbnbs!). I enjoyed many meals out on the balcony overlooking the side streets and nearby restaurants. Stella was incredibly friendly and accommodating to my last minute change in dates and a late checkout. I couldn’t recommend this apartment enough. I hope I’ll be back one day :)

This place was perfect. It is in a great location, spacious and clean. The host was very responsive and helpful. Like the other reviews mentioned, the parking spot is very tight, you have to be a confident driver and highly recommend having a smaller car.

Helppo tutustua vanhaan kaupunkiin. Sijainti rauhallisemmalla puolella Venetsialaista satamaa. Palvelut lähellä. Liian pehmeä sänky minun mielestäni, mutta sehän onkin vain makuasioita.

Perfect place to stay while in Chania and exploring Crete. Close to everything but on a charming quiet street tucked away from the noise and crowds. Next to some of the best restaurants in town. Apartment was private, spacious and very clean. AC worked great. WiFi was ok. One thing to note is stairs are steep and second bedroom is accessible through the first bedroom, up another flight of stairs and , detached and on the rooftop space with a nice seating area and hot tub. Everything was great though and would highly recommend!

This Airbnb is incredible. The location is fantastic, slightly outside the hustle and bustle of old Chania but easy walking distance (less than 5 mins) to the harbour. The space is beautiful and clean, with a much appreciated espresso machine and balcony for the mornings. I can’t say enough positive things about Petros as a host. He was extremely responsive and went above and beyond for us. Thank you for being a large part of our wonderful stay in beautiful Chania.

Absolutely loved this airbnb. Small deck overlooking the Chania Bay lighthouse and all the restaurants surrounding the bay. Airbnb at end and had a great restaurant (with blue chairs) that had great food. Beds were comfortable and back bedroom was very quiet as well. The owner met us at check-in and explained everything. Top deck was very nice to sit, my husband actually pulled out his laptop and worked on the table for awhile. He was in heaven. But we enjoyed sitting on small deck off living space too. Husband and myself w our two young adult children loved that we were so close to everything. Do not hesitate to book this airbnb.

What an amazing place. The anti - boutique art cafe is something to experience. When so many places are being turned into “luxury living “ boxes it was delightful to stay in a 500 year old property with all its charm and quirks. Coming home at night to our own a bar was fun. The bed was extremely comfortable and the access to art materials was a real bonus to my artist husband. The kitchen has lots of equipment and the water in the shower has high water pressure and heater only takes a short time to produce VERY hot water. Once the inner door is closed the apartment is very peaceful. Communication with Spiros was excellent. It’s difficult to suggests any improvements. Maybe more pillows. We would appreciate a washing machine but understand this is extra cost. Be aware the cleaner next door sometimes spills water from the balcony into the garden. Just sit to the left. Oh I don’t forget to try the restaurant next door. Thank you Spiros for a lovely stay. A great way to end our 4 weeks.

Place was great, location right in the harbor, but still quiet. Place was exactly as described.

Nous avons absolument adorées notre séjour au Penthouse. Nous sommes un groupe de 3 couples avec deux bébés. La disposition du logement était parfaite. Nous avions chacun une chambre avec salle de bain et balcon ce qui nous permettait de tous avoir un peu d’intimité. Le logement est très bien insonorisé également. L’hôte avait laissé avant notre arrivé deux lits de bébés avec plusieurs couvertes chaudes et propres à l’intérieur, ainsi que deux chaises hautes bien équipées. Il y avait même quelques jouets pour bébé. Que dire de la propreté des lieux. C’était tout simplement parfait. Après quelques jours, nous avons même eu droit à un ménage complet et en profondeur des lieux. Finalement, le localisation est plus que parfaite. Vous êtes situés au abord de la vieille ville. Vous sortez du Penthouse et à quelques pas seulement vous y trouverez d’excellent restaurants, cafés et boutiques. Le port en soit est à seulement quelques minutes de marches. WoW je recommande vivement!

Great host. Great location. Renata is a great host and was helpful with recommendations for the area. I was a solo traveller but never at any point in the 7 days did I feel unsafe. Lots of little things in the apartment like toiletries and beach towels were an added bonus. Two minutes to the harbour yet it’s away from all the crowds. One minute to the sea for a fab morning and evening swim. I will definitely be going back.

Very responsive hosts. Gave us great tips for restaurants , supermarkets and local places to visit. When we were left down by a major booking platform (which I’m apparently not allowed to mention on this platform as airbnb has asked me to delete) with our transfer to the airport they gave us contact details of taxi service that was much cheaper. Accommodation is less than 10 minutes walk from harbour in a quiet area of town. It is quiet and little noises to disturb you at Night. Power from shower was excellent and water was always piping hot.

We really loved staying here, one of the best Airb&b for us! Great place, everything pristine and really comfortable! Just 10 min from Old Town, lively street and Dena was a great, welcoming and helpful host! Would definitely recommend and come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Sifi’s. He is easy going, responsive and provided great recommendations. The apartment is beautiful, modern and we felt very comfortable with our stay. Sadly our visit was short since there are plenty to see and do that we didn’t get to do but I would book this place again if we come back.

The location is about a 15-20 min walk from the old city center in a quiet area. At night walking back, the streets can be pretty empty as you go farther away from the old city center. The bed and blanket is very comfortable. Clean, spacious, and lovely space with full amenities as described. Litsa is very friendly and responsive. She sweetly offerred drinks and food throughout my stay. Wifi is good. Movable showerhead has weak water pressure, but no problem with switching between hot and cold water. I would recommend.

Μείναμε πολύ ικανοποιημένοι από τη διαμονή μας. Ο Γιώργος ήταν πολύ άμεσος στην επικοινωνία και εξυπηρετικός. Το σπίτι είναι φωτεινό, ευάερο κοντά σε κεντρικά σημεία της πόλης και τη θάλασσα. Δεν αποτελεί χαρακτηριστικό παράδειγμα των περισσότερων bnb με σύγχρονες προδιαγραφές (πχ παλιές οικοσυσκευές, έπιπλα) και ανάλογη διακόσμηση αλλά αυτό το κάνει ζεστό και φιλικό. Το μόνο αρνητικό ήταν τα κάπως δύσχρηστα παράθυρα/μπαλκονόπορτες. Βρήκαμε μέσα ό,τι χρειαστήκαμε. Θα το προτείναμε.

The place was very clean, which is of most importance to me. The host sent clear instructions ahead of time making it very easy to access the studio. The place was slightly smaller than I expected, but that was not a big issue since it was only for my husband and me. I would definitely recommend the place.

This Airbnb is just like the photos and worth the distance from Old Town (about 0.4 miles). The terrace wraps around the entire flat and has many seating options in sunshine and in shade. It’s surrounded by beautiful, well-cared for plants with a stunning view of the Sea of Crete and of Chania itself. You can take the stairs or there is an elevator. The hostess left some local treats for us as well as a lovely bouquet of flowers! Absolutely top notch! There is also air conditioning if the fresh air is too warm. The hostess was friendly and responsive. This was the best of 4 Airbnb’s we stayed in throughout Europe. The only thing to note is that the electricity is only on when the card is in the holder by the door. So, if you leave with the dryer or dishwasher running or charging devices, they will pause until you return.

We enjoyed our stay very much, located next to the old church in the centre of old town. The large patio was fun for eating breakfast and people watching in the mornings. Our host was extremely helpful when we received a parking ticket and our license plates were seized by the police, and he managed to personally return them for us on a weekend, as we were not able to do so (as tourists) on our own!! This saved the last three days of our trip!! We truly experienced the kindness of the Crete people throughout our trip. Do be advised of the "permanent resident only" parking signs, some are not super clear. Blue lines indicate resident parking only, but those lines are white marble in old town! To be safe, just follow the hosts clear suggestions for parking, and try to avoid attempting to find a spot after 8:00 pm on Thursday to Saturday nights, especially Thursday!!
