The most beautiful location for a family gathering, such as ours. The cookhouse was an unexpected surprise and gave the boys a place to enjoy. The roomy layout allowed for a very successful get together and your outdoor spaces and hot tub were a true success. Perfect location for daily activities along the Avalon coastline, would love to return. Thank you Crystal & Wayne

My husband and I celebrated an early anniversary and Joan’s place was exactly what we wanted and needed. It’s very private and peaceful and provided everything we needed for a night getaway.

John was an amazing host and the accommodations were perfect. Came for a conference and having a hot tub at the end of the day was an excellent bonus. This house has everything you could want. It’s about a nine dollar Uber ride to grocery stores and $25-$30 Uber ride to downtown. Couldn’t have picked a better place or had a better host. Thank you, John.

This quaint colourful home was a perfect retreat for my husband and our pets for a long weekend. It was great way to disconnect and unwind and is very close to the craft brewery and scenic historic trail in town. I would recommend their home to those who are wanting a quiet retreat and a great place to explore the Baccalieu Trail Region. Cory and Leo were wonderful hosts, they were very responsive and left us with a helpful guide to the home and area. Thank you for your hospitality!

Catherine was an excellent host, she was very responsive and helpful. The place was comfortable and a short trip in to downtown St. John's (~7 minutes by car, ~30 minutes by bus).

Rose's place felt like coming home. It had everything we needed and more and was very cozy and comfortable. We had a great time visiting St. John's and look forward to coming back.

HAd a great stay-plenty in the fridge-and the fresh loaf of bread was a nice touch .Spacious apartment with excellent wifi and a big TVs.location was great and we really enjoyed St John's-close to everything but on a quiet street.

This was a great little get away in a quiet neighbourhood. 15 min walk to the beach with the dogs which they loved, 15 drive to mad rock and 10 min drive the other way to all the stores. Would recommend

Shawn and Francine offer a spacious, clean and well equipped apartment in an older private house at a prime location, downtown St. John’s. A private parking spot is also provided. Various sightseeing sites, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. are mostly located within walking distance, typically 10-30 min, which was incredibly convenient. Shawn and Francine are very caring, responsive and helpful hosts. We would definitely be very happy to stay at their St. John’s apartment again.

What a delightful stay! Love the Battery, never ceases to be fascinating. Loved to watch the ships come and go in the harbour. Lots of hikiing and places to explore near by. The Battery Cafe and Bannerman Brewing are just down the street. Belbins Grocery was also close and had everything we needed...and more. Anchor Cottage was cozy, clean, well stocked and very comfortable. We had one very minor issue involving batteries and smoke detectors and it was fixed in a flash on a very busy day of university graduation ceremonies and dinners.

The house was well equipped and cosy. It’s was situated on a hill with beautiful views of the harbour. Easy, walkable access to downtown. Right on the trail to Signal Point. Easy access to drive out of town. Great café down the road and Belbin Grocery store, both walkable. Deanie was a great communicator.

This is our 3rd stay at Julia and Dion's house, this time we stayed for seven weeks. It is like a home away from home. The house is full of character but fuss-free and so easy to live in. The kitchen room is great for families and guests. There's a large dining table and a sitting room off the kitchen that's perfect for catching early morning sun, and the back garden is off the other end of the kitchen just past the downstairs washroom. The kitchen itself is very functional with lots of counter and storage space that makes it easy to cook. When there was six of us and even when we had extended family over for bbqs, we kept to this side of the downstairs, never feeling cramped. That said, on the other side of the downstairs accessed through doors off either end of the central hallway is the larger living room and dining room, with loads of sofa space ideal for movie nights. One particularly useful aspect of the downstairs configuration is that it can be entirely sealed off by closing the doors to each room from the central hallway while retaining the ability to move between both sides of the house through a smaller hallway at the rear of the house. This is very practical for families with small children they don't want woken too early or kept awake by adult chatter during the evening. The four bedrooms are all large with large comfortable beds, with generous closet and dresser space and two good bathrooms stocked with lots of towels. Julia and Dion are great hosts. They never make you feel like you are 'in their house' but are very responsive when needed. They provide you a great house and make you feel at home in it.

We loved staying at Sandy’s place! It was a perfect home base for exploring St. John’s and the surrounding area. A beautiful, cozy, and peaceful space. About 15 min walk to Water St. and a quick drive into town. The visitor parking pass was a plus and there was plenty of parking available on her street. Sandy gave us a warm welcome, great suggestions, and was an overall thoughtful and kind host.
