This property is a 2100 sq ft, two car garage house with 3 bedrooms including 4 beds, 3 full baths, an open living room, dining and kitchen area fully stocked with dishes, pots/pans, glasses and silverware. The house has its own washer, dryer, free wifi and a TV. It also has a boat launch and fishing deck. Our house is located on a canal on the Atchafalaya River, addition to Butte La Rose, LA. We are exactly in between Lafayette and Baton Rouge, equally 30 minutes away from both locations!

We are within walking distance to restaurants and gift shops. It’s tucked in a historic, beautiful peaceful place where you can rest your mind and refresh your soul.

Yellow Bayou Plantation is a real working farm that sits on over 100 acres along the historic Yellow Bayou. The guesthouse is located behind the main house. It has an open floor plan, a full kitchen and an antique claw foot tub. There are horses, chickens, cows & honey bees located on the property as well as a stocked fishing pond and a swimming pool. This cozy cottage is nestled along the bank of the Atchafalaya River, a few miles south of interstate 10 and half way between Baton Rouge and Lafayette, La. Drive through your own little private swamp as you enter the property before it opens up to the cottage. The front porch is only steps away from the river. Large windows line the front of the home so you will have a wonderful view wherever you’re at. It is a perfect place to relax while surrounded by nature.
