We absolutely love Michael and Cat’s place. This is our third time staying and love everything about the place. Great location close to town and hiking, charming and beautifully curated spaces (inside and out), and just an overall great place to chill/hang out. Super friendly hosts who are very responsive. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic getaway in the mountains, next to a babbling brook, with everything you could want. Just a quick trip down to the village but far enough away that it was super quiet. I'd been dreaming of an A frame with giant windows and a patio overlooking the trees and this was exactly it. That, plus the bonus of a cozy place to watch movies and hang out inside. It was my first trip to Idyllwild and I hope to come back again to stay here.

Very comfortable and cozy stay. It was super clean and had so much attention to detail. We loved the guide for the area in the hallway and that everything was labeled in the kitchen 🤌

Our stay was perfect! The place had everything we needed—plenty of towels, comfy beds, and all the essentials. The host was incredibly responsive and quick to answer any questions. Overall, a fantastic place to stay!

This was hands down the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. In fact, staying here in this beautiful home and amazing location, it has influenced my boyfriend and I to start our journey with owning an Airbnb! I can’t say enough good things about this place! This is our 3rd or 4th time here- we just love this Airbnb, truly our favorite! Our doodles have such a big enclosed yard to play- with trees and lots of wildlife all around us. And the prefect view of the Tahquitz rock too! I don’t even look for other Airbnbs anymore in Idyllwild- I just message Ariya and book☺️. The home is always clean with everything we need for cooking and relaxing. I always appreciate the assorted teas from their store as well. This time, we made sure we took advantage of the hot tub after a hike and a run. The bathrobes are always appreciated and even helpful when it got a little chilly at night. Ernie Maxwell trail is just over a mile from the house and my big dog and I hiked/ran there twice- such a beautiful place to take your dog(s). Ariya and Marc are such perfect hosts- always communicating and ensuring we are enjoying our stay. I also appreciated it when Ariya messaged me that I could check in early. Thanks again Ariya! We had a wonderful stay at this very cute, charming, and peaceful cabin nestled in the heart of Idyllwild. The location was perfect — just a short walk to town, yet it still felt tucked away and off the grid, offering plenty of peace and quiet. The cabin was cozy and thoughtfully decorated, with all the comforts we needed for a relaxing mountain getaway. We especially loved how close it was to some of the best hiking trails in the area, making it easy to explore the outdoors without much driving. Whether you're looking to unwind or adventure, this cabin strikes the perfect balance. We would absolutely book again!

We had such a great stay! We loved that it was dog friendly and the fenced yard was fantastic. The kitchen was well stocked with cutting boards, pots/pans, cutlery, spices - pretty much anything you’d need. The couches and bed were also really comfortable and we loved having the fireplace. Location was great, really close to town and the Ernie Maxwell Scenic Trail was a great trail right by the house. Would definitely stay again!

A Fantastic place to stay! The photos match the house. Place is very nice and quiet. The house was very spacious and had everything we needed for a cozy stay. Jaimy was very helpful and communicated really well with us throughout our stay.

We had an awesome weekend. The cabin was very clean and it was very peaceful. It was wonderful to find a place that had a fenced in yard for the pups to run around. We cooked most meals there and the kitchen was well equipped. Thank you for sharing!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! If you want a cabin in the woods this is the spot. Neat, clean, and easy to access. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for some quiet wilderness. Just a few minutes from town too so easy to walk or drive down for shops and restaurants.

Travis and Kevin are amazing. We were long term AirBnB stayers here in Joshua Tree. We created some beautiful memories in this home and Travis/Kevin were always incredibly responsive whenever we needed them. This is a must stay if it’s available and you’re traveling to the area!

My husband and I really enjoyed our time at the Cowboy Cabin. We were right inside of town. Walking distance to just about everything. Restaurants, shops, shaved ice...yummy. Back at the cabin we enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the squirrels and birds scurrying around. The cabin is adorable. So true to the original look. We would definitely stay here again. Don't let me forget, your pretty much next door to Ferros Restaurant. The food is fantastic. Live music on Tuesdays, they have a wood burning pizza stove on the back patio and with the recommendation from Leslie my husband ordered the lasagna and loved it. Idyllwild has been my favorite mountain town for the last 40 years. Highly recommend the Cowboy Cabin. 👍🏻✌🏻♥️🌲

Cozy, quiet cabin about a 5 minute drive away from downtown Idyllwild. Spacious living room and great amenities. We will definitely be back!

This is a great cabin at a great location, with a great price. Easy to find, very remote and private, yet close to the village with all the nice restaurants and shops. Cabin is clean and very relaxing. We almost didn't want to go out to the village as this was our second trip to Idlewild, but it's nice to get out and walk around, instead of ordering everything. We had a fun time at the cabin and felt safe. Larry is very attentive and proactive in making sure we had access to everything. We will be going back 👍

I have rented AirB&B's in numerous places and countries, and this was easily one of the best kept, most comfortable and pleasurable. Moses was a great host, responding within minutes when I had trouble connecting my cell phone. Every amenity was as advertised, clean and well-organized. The center of town is only minutes away by car, though we found the property so pleasant - a huge backyard, hammocks, etc. - that we rarely left. I recommend this place to anyone coming to Idylwild

Nice little cabin in Idyllwild. Probably one of, if not the, closest Airbnb for walking into the little downtown, which was great. Fenced yard AND deck are great if you have a dog. Place is small so would probably recommend for only two people, but can definitely accommodate four if needed. We had a great stay. :)

Marisa and her team are very attentive to detail, conscientious, and offer a lovely getaway if you are in need of some R&R. Very convenient to the town of Idyllwild, and all the great nature attractions in the area.

The house had so many nice touches from comfortable beds to simple and unique decor that made the home inviting and enjoyable. The house was very clean and our beds were so comfortable. My family and I slept great and we loved that we were walking distance to the town! For the price it was a win win overall. Our favorite air bnb so far ❤️

This is our second time staying here and while we absolutely love the location and think the place is adorable, however, it's starting to really show some wear and tear. First, there was a musky smell when we first got there before we aired it out. Next, there were spider webs around some areas. Also, we noticed things in the kitchen that were present our first time (steak knives, etc.) were not there anymore. Can only assume these things walked with previous occupants, but the owner needs to replace them. Anyway, yes, this is still a cute place to stay, but it could definitely use some much needed TLC and some upgrades (carpet, paint, etc.). With all the competition in Idywlild, I feel like there are other options for the price.

This place was a little dream tucked in the forest. It was so cute and thoughtfully laid out with a working area for computer work, the nice bedroom with a giant window looking at the trees, and the rest was super nice as well. The place is very walkable to the little Idyllwild downtown and it felt very safe. A great place to stay.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Considering how big the house is and where it is located, we were shocked with just how clean it was when we arrived. The house has everything you could need, even though we brought some of our own things, just in case. The beds were comfortable too. Despite not having any AC, there were plenty of fans available for the upstairs area to remain cool at night. The location is convenient, and we were able to walk up to the park with kids. We also loved that the home was backed up to the creek and on a private street, which is one of the reasons we picked this location. We highly recommend staying here.
