Our newly built, modern cabin offers a secluded and relaxing retreat in Union, Maine. With the high ceilings, open floor plan, and many windows, guests are surrounded by natural light and forest views. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy fireplace, and an outdoor grill and fire pit. Walking trails connect the cabin to our farm next door, where you can visit with our horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, and ducks. We are just 25 minutes from the Midcoast's shops, restaurants, and beaches.

Beaver Lodge, a favorite spot for weddings and other family events, is also nearby. The Camden Snow Bowl, a year-round recreation area offers hiking, mountain biking, skiing (with ocean views), and more! This listing has an exemption for all animals.

This rustic cabin has been in my family for 4 generations. It's well loved, a bit quirky, sometimes musty and perfect for a family get away. We welcome well trained dogs, and have high expectations that you will respect the place and leave it in good shape for us and future guests. We welcome families, but after bad experiences, we are not available for your group of friends, reunion, or bachelor/(ette) party. We ask you to bring your own linens. The Appleton Retreat is a short scenic drive to Belfast, Camden, Rockport and Rockland. Braeburn at The Appleton Retreat is down a 1/2 mile driveway, on 120 acres of private land, bordered by a 1,300 acre Nature Conservancy reserve. A 1/2 hour walk on a wooded trail leads to a large secluded pond. Braeburn feels like a treehouse, with expansive windows, overlooking woods and wildlife. Enjoy grilling on the screened in porch and indulge in your private therapeutic year round hot tub.

The Barn

I call my place "The Barn" because as I was finishing it it took the shape and feel of a barn. It's not a barn. It's a quiet post and beam open concept building (a Jamaica Cottages kit) set among the fields of Appleton, Maine. You'll sleep in the loft or on a futon on the main floor. The bathroom is huge, 10X10, with a heated floor. It's an open concept kitchen and living space. From Appleton you are 20 miles away from the tourist destinations of Camden, Rockland, and Belfast.

This 1830 cape is for rent by the month or weekly or for a two-night minimum stay. It is located at the edge of the historic village of Waldoboro. It offers a convenient base to sightseeing in midcoast Maine. It’s old-fashioned, decorated with plants, antiques and paintings and features a large, fully equipped kitchen, music room with piano, television room with pull-out sofa, full bath with stall shower and outside patio. Your hosts are right across the driveway.

Come enjoy the peace and quiet, where you can rest and recharge!

The cabin overlooks peaceul Sandy Pond, inhabited by bald eagles, loons, and herons. Watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets, fish and kayak from our dock. We're close to coastal Belfast, Unity, MOFGA (annual Common Ground Fair), Waterville, Acadia and Camden. Eat at The Lost Kitchen, visit the Amish, hike the Hills to Sea Trail.
