“Our stay at Bruce's place was unforgettable. Be careful to follow his directions - the cabin we stayed in is tucked away in a very private spot (we missed the turn more than once), which always makes for wonderful views! He was always quick to communicate, and extremely friendly and hospitable. I would recommend this place to anybody looking for a quiet, cozy getaway!”
In the heart of the Shenandoah mountains. 1 mile from White Oak Canyon and Old Rag. Perfect for the fly fisherman (lots of local streams or in the back yard is the Robinson River) or a nice quiet get-away for a couple. Once you park your car you can sit back and just listen to the river flowing in the back yard and enjoy a nice beverage next to the fire pit.
“Had a really good time at the cabin. Christa and her family were very pleasant and provided a very tranquil place with a short river trail to walk down. They had some good information on the local hikes that helped us choose our activities well. Unfortunately things are very limited due to the pandemic but there are still places to explore. Grill, firewood, cooking appliances and cookware were all available (coffee as well). The relaxed atmosphere in and around this cabin were an excellent value and worth far more in terms of restorative time away from the city. I definitely appreciate the accommodations they provided and would return without hesitation.”
Embrace the endless beauty of the Shenandoah Valley from this newly renovated private mountain retreat with stunning sunset views and endless stars. Enjoy the community's private access to the Shenandoah River, including a dining and grilling area right on the water. Escape the city, but still have access to our modern comforts of cell phone service and wifi. Relax in front of the wood-burning fireplace, grill a fantastic dinner, or just enjoy reading a book on the swing in the screened porch.
“They were great hosts !!! Periodically checked in with us and responded quickly and friendly to any questions I had !!! This was my first Airbnb experience and wasn’t sure what to expect. The house was clean and comfortable. We couldn’t start the fire because we didn’t have any fire starter , but the house stayed cozy with the heaters and now we know for next time !! I wasn’t aware that the home was pet friendly ( must have overlooked that part ) until I got there and saw the dog hair on the couch 😂 I will definitely be back ! The house was way at the top of a mountain so the drive was fun !! We made it up in a GMC Terrain since we didn’t have our truck at the time and it did fine.”
