Absolutely loved the house on the lake. So well appointed, super clean, kitchen was totally equipped and the surrounding was beautiful and quiet. We highly recommend!

My friend and I stayed here for a quick two-night getaway and had a great experience. The space is quiet, cozy, and super well taken care of. The view of the water from the living area is beautiful, and we spent both mornings sitting outside with coffee, and afternoons enjoying the view from the hot tub. We appreciated that the kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking equipment we needed for nights in—and that Mary had a whole list of spots to check out for adventures out (local shops, antique spots, and really solid lobster rolls!) If you’re looking for a low-key, clean, calm place to relax, recharge, and still have easy access to town, this is a great pick. We’d absolutely come back.

We always love going to this cottage. It’s our favorite. It’s actually one of our favorite places. To go a few times a year winter summer. We just spent memorial weekend there. A little doggies loved it. Home away from home so cozy. Bobby the host is wonderful. My daughter boyfriend came up and they absolutely loved it and my son came from Texas to spend one night. It was his first time there he loved it. We already planning on going back. Fantastic getaway. If you need to distress and want calmness. This is the place to come to. And the town of Mystic has great restaurants Like I said it’s our favorite place to come to and I’ve been to quite a few…. Just got home today and I’m seeing if I can book some sometime in October to go back we love it.

We loved our stay here. It was the perfect place for two of us and our dog. The home was just as described, welcoming, cosy and well equipped, and we appreciated all the local recommendations. We enjoyed local walks, the lake, and the great dog park, as well as easy access to Middletown to visit our son. Elisabeth and Daniel were fantastic hosts!

Julie's cottage is so nice! The drive to and from is beautiful and peaceful with woodland scenes everywhere. The cottage is fully stocked in the kitchen, bath, and laundry. There are plenty of extra blankets and pillows. It's all here! Julie is also very responsive and helpful when needed. This is the best in the area! Once you stay here, other AIRBNB locations seem to be lacking.

Is a great place. Clean, comfortable. It is a basement apartment so the ceilings and doorways are lower than a normal house. I am 6 ft 5 in tall and I did not hit my head on the ceiling but the doorways were low where my hair would brush up. The bathroom sink and mirror were low also but all things were workable. I am NOT faulting her place at all. I am just tall. I will stay here again on my next trip to Connecticut. Elizabeth is nice and friendly. Once in a while you would hear the cat chasing the dog upstairs. but I just laughed at it. No noise was ever constant or non-stop. Slept very well. The early evening you would hear a train whistle way in the background almost like clockwork. Not disturbing, made it peaceful like you were in a small town country place. The river was nice. Hearing the river and wildlife was nice after a 10 hour workday. Highly recommend this for a stay. Only thing- wish the security light went on at 3am when I left. Hard to see going up the outside stairs.

We absolutely loved our stay at Milton & Megan's Montauk house! It was perfect for a group of 4 (2 couples) there for a 4 day trip. The house is very quiet & peaceful, with lots of outdoor space, but also very walkable to town. The house was super clean, and everything was very easy to find. The bedrooms had lots of closet space, the TV was easy to set up, and all the amenities listed on the website were accurate. We'd love to come back again and stay. Thanks!

Meghan's place is exactly as posted it is absolutely beautiful, cozy, comfortable and did I say beautiful? one of my favorite things to do was sit in front of the big windows and read. You have everything you can think of close, at least 4 to 6 minutes away. There are restaurants, super market and pharmacies. But if you are like me and also like to cook sometimes on vacation the kitchen was equipped with everything you need. Highly, highly recommend.

The cottage was fantastic, and Jodi was an amazing host. Communication was effortless and timely, and Jodi was helpful, proactive and generous. I loved how close the sound was to the cottage - hopefully I'll be able to stay there again, and if I do I'll bring a kayak with me. For the purposes of this stay, though, maybe the best thing was how close it was to where I was working for the week - less than a 5-minute drive to downtown Old Saybrook.

Frederick and Kelly have a great little rustic cabin right on the lake. Peaceful, quiet (a tiny bit of road noise occasionally, but overall very quiet). Frederick is super helpful and friendly. Cabin was built around 75 years ago (original builder's son left a note in the log book!), so don't expect anything ultramodern.. just a nice unassuming rustic family cabin.

Wonderful place to get away from the busy life. We found it relaxing and a convenient 20 min drive to the academy We will definitely book again!

The cottage is on a beautiful lake and is very relaxing . The morning sunset on our second day was amazing. Perfect couples retreat or in our case girls weekend. Our host, Donna, was very responsive and provided extra goodies. The house was clean and comfortable. We visited Gillette’s Castle and downtown Chester had lunch at Market 37 . Unfortunately, we had rain and could not enjoy deck right on the water.

Absolutely fantastic stay! We cannot say enough great things. We were able to check in last minute with a very quick response- yay! The attention to detail in cleaning is unmatched and so appreciated. They actually dust all the places no one else seems to. Simple touches that go a long way in convenience: towel hooks in the bathroom, a stool by the door to place your things down while you keypad in, closet full of extra pillows and odds and ends. Mystic is beautiful and this was a perfect location. Very happy we had our own outdoor space as well. Will definitely recommend to others!

We had a wonderful time at Allison's place - the location was great and the property had fantastic amenities that made traveling as a family much easier. Allison was extremely responsive and helpful during our stay. We look forward to returning!

We loved our stay and would definitely return. Getting in was easy and communication with the hosts was smooth. The cottage is on a main road next door to a spa and shares a parking lot, but it was quiet and felt private. The location is very convenient to Westerly and Watch Hill. It was easy to get around and everything you might need is near by (restaurants, groceries, CVS, Starbucks and Dunkin). The place is very nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and we felt very comfortable. My husband wished there was a couch, but the tv turns towards the bed or the two comfy papasan chairs. There is a large gap between the wall and the mattress, so we used the two poufs and some pillows as a backrest, and that worked great. We planned to go to the beach, but it rained. I booked a facial at the spa (discount provided for cottage guests), and it was amazing. Highly recommended!!!

This place has so much charm! Clean. Comfy beds and linens. Well stocked kitchen. Everything you nee to feel right at home. Very safe neighborhood.
