Located along the Tornionjoki River, the cottage is the choice of fishermen and holidaymakers who love the river landscape. Marjosaari is a great place to watch and photograph the Northern Lights. There are several attractions nearby and the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities. You can also easily visit Sweden, which can be reached via the Aavasaksa bridge.

At this charming cabin you can experience an authentic off-grid lifestyle with power from aggregator, woodstove, fireplace, outhouse and sauna. Cold water is available. Besides the harmonic atmosphere you can enjoy the quietness and serene nordic countryside. The cabin is even really close the best fishing spots at Vuentokoski and Matkakoski, hiking&biking trails and other summer and winter activities. There is beds for four people with downblankets and pillows & quality towels and bedlinens.

The sauna section of the house has a room with overnight accommodation and a very good wood-heated sauna. The sauna wing was built in the 1970s and the surfaces of the sauna and shower room were renovated in the spring of 2023. Sleeps up to 5 people. Dog guests are also welcome for an additional fee

There are two bedrooms, a balcony for sleeping, living room with one bed, sofas, dining table and kitchen, bathroom and sauna. You will see reindeer sometimes close to the house.

The cottage is located 14 km south of the Arctic Circle in a small village. Distance to Rovaniemi Airport is 96 km and to Luleå Airport 124 km.

Around you will see beautiful valley landscapes on both the Finnish and Swedish sides. The Torne River is less than a kilometre away. On winter time you can enjoy snow right at your front door. We offer sledges free of charge.
