Holiday rentals with breakfast in Otsu

We had a fantastic stay at Maana Kamo in Kyoto. The home is beautifully designed and spotlessly cleaned. We loved the bath overlooking the small private garden. The location was close to the station and other major attractions.

Kyoko was a fantastic host, who even met us at the door before arrival to allow us to put our bags in early! She provided lots of local recommendations, had a beautiful space, and even provided us food and other snacks! It is in a great location, 15 min from Nara Park and 5 minutes to Nara Station (if train noises keep you up, be sure to bring earplugs!) and I cannot say enough great things about this stay!

Megumi made us feel right at home! she was super friendly and supportive of everything we wanted, and she even went all out to celebrate our engagement with her family! During the trip, she brought us around and helped us have an absolute blast! The cooking lesson was also superb; the food, the lesson, and the memories <3 Megumi would also take our preferences into account and prepare the visit to suit us! She's super attentive and immensely helpful :) Thank you for the stay, Megumi! We really enjoyed ourselves. This stay is easily the highlight of our trip <3

The place feels like home being spacious and has a smell of wood which very comfortable.

Thank you Yumi, you can see the owner's care from the small details in many homes.The decoration at the entrance, matching the season, is like the flowers blooming along the way. I don't know what flowers they are, but they are beautiful.There are also handwritten cards, cookies, and tea. Staying with the kids, this homestay location is super convenient, close to Tennoji Station, and there are many restaurants and shopping malls nearby.It is also convenient to go to Universal Studios and Kyoto.We chose this as a fixed point to stay for multiple nights, no need to carry our luggage to change hotels.Absolutely fantastic! This time, I experienced the life of a Japanese family, and the children felt very fresh; surrounded by friendly Japanese people, I went to buy Japanese incense, and the boss was very enthusiastic in introducing it.The freshly made Japanese rice balls next to it are also delicious. We like modern houses, this house is clean, the location and environment are good.The owner and neighbors are very friendly.We were reluctant to go home during our Osaka trip ~ We will come again next time!☺️

It was very beautiful and even with 6 people staying, it was spacious and we were able to use it comfortably! All the facilities were very good, especially the sauna and the massage chair! It was so good that I thought it would be nice if I could stay a little longer and use the sauna for longer! But I'm really satisfied!Thank you!

Absolutely gorgeous place with very welcoming hosts. We had a great time and we were served delicious dinner and breakfast after we took a bike ride around the neighborhood to see the gorgeous local temples and vistas

From the moment we stepped through the door, we were enamored by this place. Kozo and the rest of the team were so welcoming and hospitable— walking us through every detail, providing recommendations, and take the time to learn about our travel needs. They provided more amenities than I have ever experienced at an Airbnb (skincare products, delicious snacks, and more). I could not have dreamed of a more picturesque place to spend my time in Kyoto. The neighborhood is quiet, local, with several good food options nearby and a stunning shrine just minutes walk away. It felt like we had warped back in time. We actually teared up as we closed the door to move onto our next destination.

It was a trip with an active 0-year-old (8 months).The room was simple, so I was able to spend my time with peace of mind without worrying about getting hurt. It was my first stay in Fukushima, which has a downtown feel, but there are many restaurants in front of the station, and it was a fun trip in a bustling area! Thank you so much! I want to use it again!

The host was absolutely outstanding. The atmosphere was always friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect for me since I was attending a conference at the international conference centre (20 minute walk). The facilities were excellent for the price.

We stayed at four airBnb‘s in Japan and all have their good points, but this was by far the best. Located in a quiet suburb so not walking distance to the main sites of Kyoto, but with some lovely sites that we would not have seen otherwise Close by. It was as simple Uber ride or train ride to get into Kyoto for main sightseeing and it was lovely to come home to a quiet un bustling local with a wide choice of excellent restaurants to choose among. The apartment itself is spacious, by far the most spacious we stayed in And it’s part of a an apartment complex which has a small gym. Nori and Fumi even served us breakfast all three days we were there in another upstairs breakfast room. To top it off, they picked this up and dropped us off at this train station three days later. All in all it was a really welcoming and comfortable place to stay, well worth the price we paid

Close to Fukushima station, close to luggage delivery office (open only Saturday /Sunday). Room was clean, bathroom was spotless. Laundry powder, vacuum cleaner, washing machine was provided. Would stay here again.

Tommy’s Doraemon-style Guest House 🏠✨🍳 This was my very first time staying in a guest house in Japan—and I couldn’t have asked for a better start. Tommy’s home in Kyoto felt like stepping into Doraemon’s world: warm, nostalgic, and full of Japanese charm. The tatami floors, sliding doors, and cozy corners made me feel like I was part of an old-school anime. But what really made this stay unforgettable was Tommy himself. Every morning, he would prepare breakfast for us—homemade, delicious, and filled with love. Honestly, it was one of the best meals I had in Japan, not because it was fancy, but because it was made with such genuine care. There’s something deeply touching about this place. It wasn’t just a place to sleep; it was where my journey in Japan began. And because of that, it holds a very special place in my heart. Thank you, Tommy, for creating such a heartfelt and beautiful experience.

Sakamotoya Muji Room was a great place to stay. Dinner set was very good. The place is beautiful with great view and the bedroom was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Mr Sakamoto was very friendly and helpful and was there to guide us all the time. He also picked us up from the station and brought us to different restaurants. He took extra care of us. Yoshinoyama is a beautiful place. I think we were there slightly off season so the place was peaceful and quiet, exactly what we were looking for. Great for small hikes, visiting temples and enjoying nature. Great stay. We plan to come back during sakura season.

Best Airbnb! we stayed at their 200 yeas old farmhouse with wonderful rooms, a terrace and surroundings. Very cozy big house. We have had a BBQ dinner together with the hosts and they also served us breakfast. it was super great to stay there.

Chieri was welcoming and the perfect host. Together with her mother Kauri-san and beautiful WabiSuke, they made us feel at home and gave us a little experience of living within a Japanese Community which is what we were seeking. From inviting us to a local Sushi restaurant to allowing us to share her Tea Ceremony class, Chieri has made our short stay truly memorable.

I haven’t been to an such amazing place in a long time. Kazumasa and Hiroko are one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. The location is breathtaking which invited you to stay more than just a few days. I only stayed 2 nights and wished I had more time. Hiroko gave me some really nice recommendations where I should go and what to do. The breakfast was also super delicious and plenty. Mabulin the dog will welcome you with his playfulness and cheeky character. If I happen to be back in this area I definitely will stay with them again. Thank you

I enjoyed my stay here. Friendly staff, very clean room, convenient to bus and subway stops. Also a short walk to the busy shopping street. Breakfast there was a bonus. Very delicious!
