Short distance to Totenåsen and Mjøsa. 5 minutes by car to the town centre. 3 bedrooms, 2 double beds and 2 single beds. One bathroom with a shower and a bathtub, with a laundry room inside. Large kitchen with dining table and terrace outside. TV lounge with sofa and fireplace. Plus a cosy sitting room with comfortable chairs, a dining table and a beautiful view.

In this spacious and unique place, the whole family will be comfortable. The cabin is located by the water, with its own gate and fenced plot. There is a natural plot in the yard. It is a 100-year-old hand-built cabin that has previously been Høvern school. The cabin is located alone, without view from neighbors. There are good swimming and fishing opportunities. Rented to adult responsible people. Washing, bed linen and towels are included in addition to NOK 200 per person. The road is cleared all the way to the cabin in the winter.

Captain's residence at Mjøsa (Totenvika)

Modern holiday home in maritime style. The captain of Skibladner lived here for many years, and the house is full of shipping history. Here you will find 4 bedrooms with a total of 9 beds, a large bathroom with shower, washing machine and dryer, well-equipped kitchen, dining room and living room with a cozy wood-burning stove. The house also has a heat pump to keep a comfortable temperature all year round. If you want breakfast, we will buy it and put it in the fridge (NOK 850 fixed price for the whole house - paid separately).

The boys' room at Båkinn farm

We have renovated the old boys' room on the farm, and rent it out for short and longer stays. Pilgrims get an extra discount, contact us directly by texting 97786500. The place is best suited for 2 adults, or a family with 2 smaller children. The house is located in the courtyard, but still shielded. There is a short walking distance to Mjøsa, you can stroll down in 5 minutes. There you can swim. The Pilgrim's Way goes right past the yard, and there are many other nice hiking opportunities by bike and on foot.

Villa Leonore: Cottage with beachfront on Helgøya

For those who really want to experience the best Helgøya has to offer. Villa Leonore is a summer house built for tramway director Dybwad's wife Leonore in 1915. A nice garden leads down to a private beach by Mjøsa. Beautiful perennial bed and a separate kitchen garden to supply yourself with. You can relax on the porch with a good book, and make delicious local and organic food, with the farm's and the area's own products. There are great hiking opportunities on Helgøya, for walking, running and cycling.

Husmannsplassen Hanshagan at Nøttestad Søndre farm

From July 2025, we can finally welcome you to Hanshagan – an authentic farmhouse, closely restored in 1920s style, but with modern comfort. The house has recently been carefully restored: original materials have been preserved, old craft traditions continued, and all with respect for the history of the place. Here you can experience life as it was – without sacrificing warmth, hygiene or convenience. Hanshagan is beautifully situated in Stange Vestbygd and offers views of fields, forests and Mjøsa.

Totenåsen offers numerous hiking trails in summer and fantastic ski trails in winter. It is a 10-minute drive to swimming in Lake Mjøsa. Grocery stores, pharmacies, etc., are 2 km away. The cabin has running water, electricity, and internet. 1,5 hrs from Oslo.

The house is charming and cozy and located right next to Mjøsa. Here you can wake up listening to the waves from the lake and see beautiful sunsets at the evening. Mjøsa is Norway's larges lake with great fishing. The house have a 120 meter private shore with a beach in the end. Perfect for kids (see picture for equipment). Authentic 1947 home. Worn, but spacious, bright and functional. Kitchen, bathroom/WC/laundry room plus two rooms separated by a sliding door downstairs. Two rooms upstairs. Renovation needed, but the bathroom and kitchen appliances are fairly new. It is possible to have 4 separate bedrooms. The kitchen dining table seats 6 persons comfortably. Firewood is free of charge. Next door is a nice convenience store!
