My now wife and I were looking for the perfect spot for a small intimate fairy tale wedding that had both lake and woods scenery, where we could tie the knot and have a honeymoon following. we immediately in love with this cabin, and never stopped falling more in love with it each day we were there. Shannon is the most AMAZING and kind host. The cabin has so many layers of thoughtful details poured into its timeless surroundings. We cannot WAIT to come back in the years to come for our anniversaries. THANK YOU SHANNON! 🥰

Our second stay here -- Perfect place for our adult kids and us to gather for the weekend. Everything was great! We had everything we needed in such a beautiful, spacious living area. The food in the restaurant below (quesadillas are the best!); the Hamburger Haus next door and the little cafe just down the street make it easy to dine w/o cooking! We visited the winery not far away, which is a great venue for music and drinks in an outdoor setting. The best was Consuelo -- the perfect hostess! So glad we got to connect again to tell her how much we enjoy McJugger's Loft!

The first words out of our 19 year old’s mouth was, “Mom, this is the best one we have ever stayed in!” Everyone loved how cozy the place felt and how you could set the temp for each room, just the way you liked it, including in the bathroom if the morning was a bit chilly. The rustic charm is just beyond beautiful. I loved the swing set and sitting area around back. Our dog loved it. Overall, just an absolutely gorgeous place to be for an entire week. The beds were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice get away.
