Picturesque, Historic Villa with Island Views

Gaze over stunning 180-degree views of islands on Lago Maggiore from the expansive, floor-to-ceiling windows of this lovely, 230-year-old rustic stone villa. Antique furnishings perfectly complement the historic architecture. The house is on 3 floors so a fair bit of walking up and down stairs is required. The guesthouse is situated up upon a hill inside a 8,000 m2 private park full of Azaleas, Rhododendrons, and huge Chestnut Trees an easy 15 min. drive from either Arona or Stresa. Lakeside beaches, excellent restaurants and shopping facilities are within the close vicinity by car. A huge natural reserve with peaks offering panoramic views of lakes and alps can be reached in a few minutes on foot. The guesthouse's 60 m2 ground-floor apartment has an arcade covered patio and its own gardens.

The apartment is centrally located with respect to the main services of the town, all within walking distance in a few minutes: restaurants, bars, supermarket, tobacconist/newsstand, post office, bank, pharmacy and a beautiful playground. In less than half an hour by car or bus (the stop is on the road in front of the apartment) you can reach the beautiful resorts of Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta. The charming village of Mergozzo overlooking the lake of the same name is 10 minutes away.
