The city center, the Loire, public transportation and shops are all within walking distance. There are several outdoor markets and a fabulous fleamarket on Saturday. By car, Paris is an hour and 15 minutes, Amsterdam 6.5 hours, Barcelona 9.5 hours. By train Paris Austerlitz station is one hour. The A10 is 10 minutes.
