The standout feature of this accommodation is its one-of-a-kind ‘egg sauna’. This is a fully DIY sauna, developed entirely by JP from design to production, featuring a unique shape that allows heat to circulate naturally.Enjoy a sauna experience you can’t get anywhere else, while being enveloped by the gentle warmth of the wood-burning stove. Inside the room, there is also a traditional Japanese irori (hearth) typical of old Japanese houses. We aim to provide a safe and secure place to stay for travellers visiting Japan from overseas. This is an entire house that retains the warmth of old-fashioned wood, and is arranged in a space where you can relax. We have spent two years in an old private house on a hill overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, we have renovated it with our own hands and operate it with a couple. The facilities are simple, and there is no service like a hotel or inn, but it is popular for those who want to relax in nature. It can accommodate up to 6 people and is recommended for groups and families. About 18 minutes on foot from Uno Station, 12 minutes on foot to the ferry terminal, it is ideal as a base for Naoshima and Setouchi Art Trips. It is a 10-minute walk to the Mercato Shopping Mall and a 2-minute walk to the Family Mart Tamano Uno store. There is a contracted parking lot for one car 2 minutes on foot from the base of the mountain. Our inn is only on foot from the base of the mountain, and is located on a high ground about 60 meters up. The path climbs a little steeply, but when you arrive, you will have a refreshing sense of accomplishment and be able to spend a quiet time surrounded by nature.

We have 2 electric bicycles and 5 bicycles available. They are available for free to guests. You can also take your bike on the ferry to Naoshima and Teshima. Insects may enter the house depending on the season, as the garden is close to the old house. We are taking measures, but please refrain from booking if you are not good with insects. When you come by car, we ask you to check in by yourself. When you come by train or bus, we can pick you up and drop you off at Uno Station. There is another traditional house nearby.
