KAIWA NO SATO This old house is an indigo mansion built in the first year of the Bunsei era (1804) during the heyday of indigo. The main house and the sleeping area (a barn where indigo was stored) have been demolished due to aging, but the historic living room and garden have been preserved to allow guests to experience a little bit of that time, and it is used as a farmhouse inn. In the old days, "Indigofera" grew on the fertile land of the Yoshino River basin in Tokushima Prefecture, bringing great wealth to Tokushima Prefecture (Awa Province). Ancient documents on indigo, including cultural properties, are also available for viewing. Located between Okayama, Kurashiki, Takamine, and Kitakagoshu, this is the perfect place to stay for sightseeing in Okayama, which opened at the end of November 2021. ★Indoors Renovated over 100 years ago, the interior is stylishly designed by a first-class architect who has been involved in the design of the Fuji TV Bay Area Studio, GINZA SIX, and more, and has a one-rank higher quality feel. We have a fridge, oven range, IH stove, coffee tools for coffee lovers, and a toaster that is very popular with bread lovers, so you can enjoy your stay in elegance. It is cool at high altitudes, and from October to May (or so, depending on the weather), you can also enjoy the fireplace burning brightly. This guest house was born in 2019 and is an 8-minute walk from JR Okayama Station. It is a four-story building, with the entrance on the second floor after climbing the exterior stairs, and the interior is connected to the rooftop by an internal staircase. The exterior is Western-style, but there is also a Japanese-style room with a tea room. We'd like to connect people and help introduce the area. We can make various suggestions for trips to the scenic Setouchi islands. We'll help you with deep sightseeing in Setouchi. Also, within walking distance to many museums and one of Japan's three most famous gardens, "Korakuen". Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter is 20 minutes by train, and you can take the Shinkansen for day trips to Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Kobe, and Hiroshima. Please leave your luggage and travel lightly, "like you live there". There are many shops and restaurants in the city center, so "staying is also fun". We've carefully designed the fixtures and layout so that you can enjoy this facility at your leisure, as well as use it as a place to stay while traveling. In the dining room with an island kitchen, you can enjoy music with high-quality speakers. Enjoy the scent and feel of the rare pine flooring. For the bedroom area, we have thick futons instead of beds, also with small children in mind. In addition, the futon area is slightly elevated with tatami mats.
