Holiday rentals with breakfast in Obwalden

Maria's bed and breakfast is a 300 year old house in a quiet neighborhood a few miles from the center of Lucerne. The bus ride from the train station is 10-15 minutes long and the bus runs every 10 minutes. Maria, the host, was very friendly and helpful, and served a wonderful breakfast every morning. This room is on the third floor of this three-story house. It involves several staircases to get up there. The space was exactly as described, but be aware it is very small for more than two people. It consists of a bathroom with shower; an anteroom filled almost entirely by a queen bed; and a bedroom with two twin beds pushed together. The bedroom had a closet and a door that could be closed; the anteroom has only a small shelf and a curtain instead of a door. Two people will be fine here, but it was very tight for a family of four. There was not room to place more than one small suitcase in the anteroom, and we were tripping over each other. Still, a good value for the price!

Maria was a wonderful host! The place was as described. The Swiss breakfast was great! Nice and quiet even with shared spaces. We hope to come back to Luzern and stay again someday.

Cornelia is a very friendly, loving hostess. She decorated the house and room with a lot of creativity and love. Everything was very clean and everything necessary was available. We used the place on our trip to Italy. There was also a delicious breakfast to fortify us. We will be happy to come back!

A house full of Swiss charm and hospitality, very close to Luzern.

It was a beautiful site. I could get rest for a moment of silence. Bathroom was very clean. Also it is worth it to take a 30 min bus drive to have an little escape from the city. Cornelia 's breakfast is also a worth to ask for. She prepared very finely.

The villa exudes a wonderful charm, the rooms are all extremely lovingly and beautifully renovated. The hosts were very personal, very friendly and open to all questions. This property is a little gem! Quietly located, close to the lake in about 10-15 minutes on foot, very child-friendly

We had a wonderful stay with Andrea. Would 100% stay here again. It was good for my soul! Andrea is super helpful and kind, caring and her home is beautiful and well loved. We felt safe and at home straight away. Her cats are cute and love cuddles, the views are breathtaking and you could easily just lose a day taking in the mountain and lake view. So convenient for skiing or hiking. We could easily ski to the neighbouring resort of klewenalp too. Ideally placed property and ski rental available at the bottom of the mountain. Gondolas and ski lifts start early in the day so great for making the most of the skiing. Can’t wait to come again. Thank you Andrea 🤩🤗

We had such a wonderful time, Isabelle went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed to make my son’s 18th birthday trip special. Highly recommended this place it was perfect!

We had a lovely few days at Gina's and in the Lucerne region. The accommodation is perfect for a family, the equipment is complete, nothing is missing for a good stay. A sports and playground is nearby and there is a small shop in the village for shopping. The welcome is warm.

Esther was very welcoming. The hotel is charming with lots of beautiful woodwork. The view outside our window was spectacular, and the continental type breakfast had a spread of yogurts, breads, cheeses, cereal, fruit, meats, and deliciously cooked hardboiled eggs (with the yolks not overdone). The bus conveniently stops nearby. Thanks, Esther, for a great stay!

Amazing views, and great accessibility to great hikes. Lisa is such an attentive host, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay! A bit of a walk from the bus stop, but beyond that I have no complaints whatsoever.

I had a perfect stay.

This stay is great - quick walking access in Interlaken and all trains and busses - West station is about 6 mins walk, East is 20 mins. 1.5 hrs to Jungfraujoch, less than an hour to Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald, about an hour to Thun. Easy river walk 20 mins to the Harder Kulm rail car. Tall guys, you need to know this: I am 6'4" tall (or 194 cm), and I had to duck in the apartment - my head was literally on the ceiling, and I hit my head on crossbeams multiple times. You will not be able to stand up in the shower fully either. However, I still stayed a full 5 days there as I thought the apartment and location were worth it. The breakfast Gabriela provides is great too - and right downstairs in Cafe Treff! Yogurt, melon, croissants and bread, jams, honey, cappuccinos! Truly a benefit of the stay. Gabriela was very reachable and responsive and even did our laundry for a reasonable fee! I would recommend this stay to anyone, especially non-summer (Americans, there is no A/C).

The location was unique, the view beautiful, the atmosphere pleasant and the breakfast buffet very delicious (many vegan alternatives :)) We found Sandra to be a very accessible and helpful hostess. Overall highly recommended!

To say that we enjoyed our stay at Bradley’s and Marianna’s would truly be an understatement. The pictures really don’t do it justice, as it’s hard to capture in photos what an extraordinary location they are in. But perhaps the best thing about staying there was how at home they made us feel! Also, the breakfast was unique and wonderful each day - many special home made dishes. Our party of four all agreed that they would absolutely love to come back- we all have a lot of experience staying in Airbnb’s, but this one was truly special!

We were allowed to spend one night in the beautiful house of Monique and Urs and felt very comfortable from the first moment. The welcome was warm and uncomplicated, so we immediately felt welcome. Since we were the only guests, we felt like we could enjoy the whole house to ourselves. In the afternoon and evening we spent together with Monique and Urs over a bottle of wine and an aperitif in the garden. The stimulating and exciting conversations made our stay a very special experience. In the morning, a small, fine breakfast with homemade bread and fresh muesli awaited us – a good start to the day. Sincere thanks for the hospitality – we'd love to come back!
