Unique small stone house in Vivassdalen-Hardangervidda

The old stone farm buildings have been restored and are worth seeing and visiting. Since the cabins are located inside the national park area, motorized traffic is prohibited here. Peace and quiet are the keywords for this stay. Nevertheless, the days can be filled with activities from morning to evening for those who wish. The cabins are fully equipped with as much "luxury" as it is possible to achieve within the rules set by the national park. A holiday here will be something completely different from what you have experienced before.

Big Cabin

Ortnevik is two and half hours north of Bergen, on the south side of the Sognefjord. It's a picturesque Norwegian village sitting by the fjord at the foot of the Stølsheimen National Park. The local ferry can take you to see a bit more of the surrounding area, such as Vik, Voss and Flåm. Along side the mountain and forest trails, fishing and rowing activities found here. We expect guests to clean the cabin to the same standard they found it in or there is the option of cleaning for 500 NOK.

This is the place for 2 people who want to relax, enjoy themselves and enjoy good food. Breakfast basket at the door is a must! View from the bed and short distance to toilet and shower. Our own Fjell Pub is also on site. Our SagaFjøl is very popular, a taste of the mountain consisting of cheese and sausage. No dogs are allowed in these cabins. Bedroom 1 in the courtyard

Recharge your batteries in a peaceful sleeping cabin for two. You have access to a separate kitchen and shower/toilet in connection with a wood-fired sauna. Hot tub and sauna can be rented for an additional fee and must be booked in good time. The hot tub is only available from May to October and is weather dependent. The property has an outdoor kitchen, pizza oven and several fireplaces. Free electric car charger.

Modern turf house

Stay in a modern Sámi turf house – called a “gamme” in Norwegian and “goahti” in Sámi. Peaceful and unique, it has two bedrooms with double beds, a bathroom, and a living room with kitchenette and sofa bed. Ideal for 4 adults + 1 child or 2 adults + 2–3 kids. Optional hot tub rental (must be booked in advance). Guests have access to a pizza oven, lean-to shelter, grill and fire pit areas.
