Michael and Nan are thoughtful, generous hosts. They communicated clearly with us about the special needs we expressed, and provided clear instructions in person, written in the suite and over the app. We would be happy to stay again, wishing only that the suite were closer to where our family lives.

Our 5 night stay at The Gite was a magical and peaceful retreat. The home offers a serene, bucolic escape that feels like stepping into a slower, more beautiful rhythm of life while conveniently located on the threshold of Ruckle Provincial Park. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted by Nancy who was lovely and welcoming. She set the tone for our cozy and comfortable experience. The home itself is thoughtfully appointed and radiates charm. It’s the kind of place that makes you say, “I can move in here!” One of the highlights of our stay was enjoying delicious homemade scones and muffins from Robert and delivered twice during our visit. It was a thoughtful and memorable touch that made us truly cared for. Each afternoon we watched deer wander across the great lawn for a nibble; a daily visit that only deepened our sense of calm and connection to nature. Whether you’re hiking through the adjacent park or soaking in the tranquility from the comfort of The Gite, this is a gem.

Raquel’s place is top notch - everything is exactly as described or better. Have rarely stayed at a better stocked Airbnb in terms of kitchen appliances, essentials, etc. The location is perfect for exploring Gibsons (5 min drive from everything). The farm itself is an amazing, peaceful slice of paradise, and last but not least, Raquel is an awesome host, sharing her deep local and farm knowledge and making sure you have a great stay on the Coast!

Great cozy little cabin! Feels extremely private but Michele’s place is close by in case you need her, and we loved the visits from her dogs and hearing the frogs on the pond at night. Was extremely safe at night :) Had everything you need in the kitchen to cook with and the bed was very comfy for two. Loved having breakfast outside and seeing the deer watching us eat! So cute. Central on the island - walking distance to a restaurant/shops and a 5 min drive literally everywhere else. Michele was a very friendly host and gave us some tips on nice walks and where to take our kayak! Had a great stay :)

We had a lovely stay at Julie and Ians place. Waking up to the alpacas in front of our patio was so delightful and our son loved visiting the chickens, horses and playing with Isla, the dog. We left the French doors open when we were home and enjoyed playing on the grassy patch in front of our patio. Coombs market is just a couple minutes drive away and the kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals. It is such a peaceful spot surrounded by nature to enjoy breakfast and dinner. Thanks for having us, Julie and Ian!

What an absolute treasure of a location! We had a glorious time & thoroughly enjoyed the beach access & the serenity of the property. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

I have to say that this was the BEST Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. Everything was so artfully curated and I felt like I never wanted to leave. Kate is a great person and I would definitely recommend taking her up on her horse lessons. I’ve been riding my whole life and she is a fountain of knowledge in so many ways. I would definitely recommend coming to stay at her cottage and see for yourself the care and beauty of the land and what orcas has to offer. I will definitely be back!

Tara’s place was perfect for our stay in Salt Spring Island! The cabin was absolutely beautiful, cozy and clean, and Tara went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Super clear check-in/check-out instructions, tons of local recommendations, and always so responsive if we had any questions. And we loved having the company of the goats and alpacas :) Would absolutely love to stay again if we make it back to Salt Spring and would recommend her place to anyone looking for a Gulf Island getaway

This is a stunning, restful, get away! Would have liked to stay many days. As a horse person I absolutely loved being around them. Bonus to have a piano to play! Comfortable beds, fully functional kitchen and nice to have additional half bathroom. We sat out on the deck in the evening to enjoy the night sky. Attentive hosts. Highly recommend. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a great time at Scott's place. It was well equipped, comfortable and felt very homely and welcoming. Scott was very friendly and responded immediately to any queries. He gave us helpful tips for local walks and wildlife viewing. We particularly loved watching hummingbirds just outside the lounge windows. We would recommend Karmix Cottage to anyone wanting a get away from it all break, but within easy reach of beaches, waterfalls and forests.

Frankly, not enough text space to summarize this whole place but will try my best. First holiday for my wife and myself as first time parents with a newborn, the hosts were incredibly accomodating & ensured the best fit for a little family and new borns first holiday, they were most welcoming and hospitable. Farm products available for purchase are top quality and freshly made from the farm itself - perfect! A tour was provided free of charge and we got the full history of the site and the buildings with a closer look into the architecture and livestock onsite. The Granary was spotless and pristine, the interior decorating/furniture suited the history of the restorated Granary. The building has such character inside and out - the best part is, all the restoration materials were from the existing Granary itself! Scenery surrounding is beautiful, listen to the sounds of the variety of birds and trees, grab your binoculars and get out on the deck! Bath, unreal. Wifi, who needs it? 10/10

The accommodation was well-furnished and spacious. Kitchen and bathroom were generous and well-equipped. So grateful we could walk through the farm as much as we liked. A bowl of freshly- picked strawberries from our hosts was a lovely gesture. We’d love to stay again.

Valeries’s place lives up to the reviews and description. Very well kept little cottage adjacent to the main house, the overall property is stunning, worth exploring! True Airbnb experience. They were extremely kind and provided us with treats throughout our stay. Welcomed us with a bottle of wine. Provided breakfast basket on our first morning. The espresso machine did not work but they offered to make us coffee, I had a delicious cappuccino. I would 100% come back.

I try and go every other year; Each experience a bit different from the last. Price is reasonable for a weekend getaway or have a romantic way to end a trip. Alyssa was thorough with her walk in, and Odin was welcoming. Took pictures after check out, never felt rushed to leave. Will be coming back again no doubt

Sheila’s place was beautiful, we felt right at home. The beds and couch are super comfy. Sheila pays attention to detail and is very thoughtful about her guests. We loved visiting the goats and the farm fresh eggs were an added bonus in the morning! Would definitely stay here again!

This place is absolutely wonderful!! Spacious, spotless, comfortable, quiet and in an idyllic setting. Fresh flowers, fruit, granola, eggs added a level of specialness to this already great place. Aaron was friendly, helpful and communication before and during our stay was great. This will be our 1st choice when staying on Gabriola. It’s a special place.

This was one of my favourite airbnbs I’ve ever stayed! The photos do not do it justice. The cabin is beautiful and cozy. Our favourite part of this stay was the two border collies that followed us around we absolutely adored them. The skylight above the bed at night with the stars was unreal.

I can't say enough good things about this house. It is such a special spot. From the minute we walked in we felt right at home. What stunning surroundings. The location is so quiet you can hear all of nature around you. We saw river otters and seals from the awesome deck, so many varieties of birds and critters. Seriously do yourself a favor and visit this place. I'm already planning our return and I got home yesterday.

The property is absolutely beautiful and Heidi is the perfect host. Upon check-in, we were greeted with flowers, a basket of fruit, and makings for a great breakfast. The space is large, clean, and very well appointed. The property is so nice that it was difficult to leave to explore the Island! 🤣 Heidi was very warm and welcoming. She made sure that we were happy and was very responsive. Communications were wonderful. We were a group of 8 and never felt like we were in each other’s way. Thanks you for a wonderful visit!!

We had a truly lovely weekend stay at Susan and John’s place! We felt so welcomed from the moment we arrived. Susan and John are incredibly friendly and gracious hosts who made our stay feel like a home away from home. Their property is absolutely beautiful, especially the backyard, which features a serene pond surrounded by lush greenery. Our little one, had the best time exploring! He loved feeding the fish in the pond, watching the chickens and roosters, and playing fetch with their sweet dog, Millie. Their other dog was equally friendly, and it was such a joy to see our 1.5 year old interact with the animals. This stay was the perfect blend of peaceful nature and warm hospitality. We’re so grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend it to anyone, especially families with young children!

This stunning location boasts incredible design and beautiful surroundings. Staying in the Sanctuary house and the Ecovillage was certainly a delightful experience. If you care about sustainability and the environment, this place is a fantastic attraction in itself, offering the opportunity to live in a sustainable community and connect with like-minded individuals. It's important to mention that this isn't a typical vacation spot: there are restrictions in place, such as prohibiting non-biodegradable personal products (organic and biodegradable alternatives are provided for free); you must squeegee the walls and dry the floor after showering; and there is no kitchen—just a sink, a mini fridge, an electric kettle, and a few mugs. Additionally, the main entrance door lacks a lock, and the bathroom lock was non-functional, though this seems to be a temporary issue. Despite these points, we enjoyed a comfortable and pleasant stay, and Brandy was very nice and friendly.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful, quirky home. We had lots of space to come together and our own little nooks to retreat for some quiet time. The kids loved learning to swim in the pool. We all enjoyed exploring the property which is full of little discoveries and surprises to delight. Waking up to birdsong was so lovely. It's close to beaches (drive or bike) and trails (walkable). We are already planning our next visit. Thank you for your hospitality.
