Sunset Shores is an absolute gem. From the moment we stepped inside, we knew we had found something special. The home is beautifully updated with a clean, modern design that still manages to feel incredibly cozy and welcoming. Every detail has been so thoughtfully considered — it’s clear that Sarah, the hosts, take great pride in offering an exceptional guest experience. The location was absolutely beautiful. Nestled in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood but right on the Mississippi River, it offered the perfect balance of privacy and natural beauty. It was truly lovely to sit out on the deck or in the three-season porch and watch the river go by. The calming sound of the water and the serene surroundings made it easy to relax and unwind. I do not have enough space here to write everything I want about how wonderful this home was but I will just say Sarah the host was amazing to work with the houses and location are beautiful and I look very much forward to a future stay here.

Surrounding area was peaceful and beautiful and it was a great location, not far from destinations but just far enough to have a quiet retreat that felt like home. This quaint little cottage was perfect for our weekend getaway. The lakeview was gorgeous and it was lovely to sit outside and listen to/see all of the different birds. While most of our time was spent away from the cottage, it was the perfect place to come home to at the end of the night with the quietness of the area and the comfortable bed. Overall, a great getaway where we could relax and enjoy the beauty.

This is a beautiful cabin. It is very clean and well stocked. Lisa was very helpful and responsive to our request. The views were amazing! We enjoyed taking the boat out to watch the sunset. We are looking forward to another stay.

Adorable Swedish cottage on North Lindström Lake. This is the second time we’ve stayed - my partner was unable to come last time, and I wanted to show her the interior design. I love Carol’s interior design in the guest quarters of the cottage, especially the birch stump legs on the bed and the Swedish decor. There are a bunch of kayaks on the dock including several for kids, so it’s perfect for taking our kids out (we came with five of them, ages 4 thru 11). My oldest was up and out on the lake the whole time. The kids’ bedroom is in the attic loft and very thoroughly stocked with toys and games; the hosts were very accepting of the sound level coming from the percussion section of the game room. Northwoods Roastery is next door, up the driveway on the Main Street also overlooking the lake, and stopping by their back porch for a cup of coffee became a morning routine for me. We look forward to coming back next time we stay in Lindström!
