Seaside Villa (A)

Definitely a great place to stay!!! Pictures were exact. The rental is mid island, so quite easy to explore both north and south Andros. And Shantel’s recommendation for a snorkel trip with Scotty Boy was fully worth it!!! Shantel was very pleasant and communicative, though she was gone while I was there. Her daughter Alex was available on site. Alex met me at the airport with my car rental (DEFINITELY rent a car through Shantel— it’s a must to get around) Alex gave me the tour on the way to the rental and was very accommodating!!! The beach area is a little rocky, but very private and peaceful. Shantel even got a beach chair so I could sit on the beach in the water!!! Thanks!!! The neighborhood dogs became welcome visitors! The hammock was to be replaced, but the new one was too short, but I’m sure it will be replaced. The bed was super comfortable. Their store was close to pick up a few things. For larger shopping, I recommend Farmers Mart grocery store- about 15 min north.

Pine Island Resorts - Red Bays Room

JamesRating, 5 stars39 months ago
I stayed at Pine Island Resort just for the one night, before heading back to the U.K. The apartments are lovely, decorated in a very modern way. Each one has its own theme, which is based on something / somewhere from the Bahamas. The rooms have everything you need and you can select one with a full kitchen if required. Wifi was really fast. A/C worked well and was nice and quiet. It is right next to the main Queen’s Highway, but don’t worry about noise, there isn’t any traffic around!! Shirley and Kenny were amazing hosts. They went out of their way to help me get around and give advice on the sites to see, this was a real bonus for me, as my visit was a very last minute plan at the end of a work trip. Andros doesn’t have as many glitzy tourist sites to see as other islands, but for me this was the big attraction. There is still loads to do, it just hasn’t been commercialised like many of the more popular islands. If you want to visit somewhere to experience true Bahamas, without hundreds of tourists, this would be a good visit. But don’t expect 5 star luxury hotels and sun beds lined up on the beach. I did find a wonderful quiet beach up at Morgan’s Buff. Just me on the beach! And then later a couple of local families, who are lovely and friendly. Research what there is to do. If you like fishing or diving / snorkelling, then Andros is 100% for you. It has the 3rd largest reef on the world. It even has 3 (small) airports and all only 15 mins flight from the main international airport Nassau. Do it!

The place is truly a home away from home. The area is very quiet and the accommodations are second to none. It is fully equipped with all of the amenities and close to the grocery store and resturant. Shirley the host was very accommodating and made every effort to make us feel at home. It's a must stay location in Andros.

Cozy cottage on semi private beach

PatrickRating, 5 stars102 months ago
P was very helpful from the beginning. Communication was excellent. We had to change location 2-3 days before arrival because of an unforeseen circumstance with the booked house. P took care of everything. Place is very secluded and far from everything, which can be great if thats what you are looking for. The place is located in Davis Creek on Andros Island, 1 mile north of Small Hope Bay Lodge. Some dogs are wandering around the village and will follow you but they are very nice and calm. People are nice and friendly but food store have some very limited supplies and selection. Overall I appreciated my stay.

Dianne and Val are so sweet and accommodating. She helped find me a bike to ride around the island at no cost and even when the bike had and issue in minutes she had me another one. She epitomizes hospitality and shows how much she appreciates her guest. Thank you for helping me enjoy my time off and giving me a place to rest peacefully. With gratitude. Daniel

Treasures of Andros Beach House- Ruby

KiranRating, 5 stars1 month ago
If you’re looking for an idyllic, tranquil, ocean-front, off the beaten path place for a short or long term stay, this is place for you. We loved our 6-week stay here. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed and the newly-opened convenience store a couple of doors down had plenty of groceries. Trevor is an amazing host - thoughtful, responsive and super helpful. While, unlike most of the travelers in this area, we don’t fish, my husband and I loved watching the birds and sea turtles in the mangrove across the street, snorkeling right in front of the house, making use of the kayaks, biking to the nearby blue hole, and just generally chilling out in a beautiful spot. Highly recommend!!
