A simply wonderful place to enjoy the Norwegian upland, with ski trails from the door, super floor heating, warm historic vibe, and a comfy couch. It has two tables that seat six, a kitchen with tools, utensils and servingware to cook for a crowd of 12 (or more) and serve them coffee and wine, and a dishwasher for cleanup. It’s very well-equipped—like visiting an aunt with one of everything—so there was a right-sized ski pole when we broke one, an extra pulk and harness, plastic sleds for a small army of children, extra ski wax and tools, and the mudroom has long benches for booting on/off, and tons of hooks for hanging outerwear. When wood for the fireplace ran low, Bengt responded quickly.and had it delivered. There are tons of books in the Nordic languages as well as English on many topics including the local area and beyond. The market in Ustaoset is a short walk/ski, and Geilo was easy to reach by bus, train, or taxi for stores, dining, or a downhill ski. Love. This. Place.

On this family-owned farm you get closer to the mountain than on your common cabin area. Hosting is extremely pleasant. The cabin is cozy and has the nice view of the mountain. We look forward to coming back.

We had a wonderful stay at Geilo and could not be happier. The apartment was clean, two bathrooms and was centrally located to ski resorts and only 5-10 minutes drive from the city center. Communication with the landlord has been great - quick responses, helpful, and very welcoming. It was easy to schedule both check in and check out, and the whole process felt safe and smooth. Highly recommended - we'd love to be back!

The apartment was nice, modern and clean. Fitted nicely for family of 4. Short distance to the ski slope. Nina was quick to respond to any questions. Recommend staying here. Would love to come back another time.

Very nice and modern apartment. Perfect for groups of friends or family. Difficult to get to the city centre without a car, but otherwise nice location close to the trek. We had a lot of fun:)

Great place right next to the slopes, like 5 meters. Balocony is pretty much on top of the kids slope which was great for us with small kids. The sauna door on the picture was unfortunately not a sauna anymore. But other than that great bedrooms and kitchen and common area. We were 3 families and it worked out great. Recommended 👍

Quick response and flexible with changed arrival. The cabin was close to the slopes and it was possible to park our car in the garage.

Wonderful home right next to the slopes. From the moment we arrived, the chalet welcomed us with warmth and comfort, feeling like a home away from home for the entire family. The meticulous attention to detail in every corner did not go unnoticed, making our time both comfortable and luxurious.

We went skiing from Christian's place. Ski in and out was absolutely amazing. Very nice apartment and we had a really good stay!

We enjoyed our stay here at Uvdal lodge ! The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. Everything felt new and modern. The kitchen was equipped with many good kitchen appliances which made our stay even better. The washing machine with dryer function was also a life saver. There were also clothes drying racks available so we could hang our wet/ moist gloves etc. after a day at the ski slopes. Also, we find that several Norwegian cabins have only one bath and one toilet 🚽 even when having sleeping space for 2 families. Hence it’s a BIG PLUS that this cabin has 2 toilets so it’s less stressful with 8 people waiting on each other. The host also made it easy to clean the place after our stay by providing all cleaning supplies and a place to leave the cleaning cloths we had used. The view on the way up to the cabin was amazing. Parking was also available for more than one car. Marte had also been very easy to communicate with. Quick to respond during our stay and always nice. Thank you
